Hi guys,

I am a recent graduate and just started applying to pharma. I got an offer from Ipsen pharma as an intern in market analysis. Is this a good company to learn and work for?

Any advice going forward would be great.

Congratulations. My advice would be to use this internship as a learning experience and consider getting your MBA in 6 months to a year. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get into pharma sales. You will quickly find yourself making very good money, likely more than any of your college buddies. The problem is that this income becomes the golden handcuffs that keep you in pharma sales longer than you would otherwise want to be there. Pretty soon, you're turning 50, making 140,000 per year, with no options to do something else without a severe pay cut.

I tend to agree with the earlier commenter. Treat this job as a learning experience. Stay away from sales. You could go back to college for an MBA. After getting your MBA, it is worth getting into consulting for a few years to get a well-rounded experience.

It is hard to give a clear answer as I don't know your personality and your tastes. I know people who went to medical school after a few years in pharma.
