Interesting news from Switzerland: seems that Her Royal Highness, Dr. Shannon Tyne Klinger has been calling herself “Dr.” over the last few years although she has no right with her qualifications to call herself “Dr.”
Priceless for someone who’s title was „Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer”. Apparently the excuse is that she did not know that her USA degree did not give her the permission to use a “Dr.” title. An obvious error for a top lawyer who is supposed to meticulously read international contracts and other documents. So if she has been signing contracts and official documents over the last years has she been committing an offense?
So even after the Novartis leadership in Basel finds out that Baroness Dr. von Klinger is not a “Dr.”, an offense where anyone else here in the USA would be given 10 minutes to clean out their desk and be marched out the building, Vasant Narasimhan, CEO of Novartis, promotes this Congressional Medal of Honor winner to Chief Corporate Counsel.
She must have some heavy dirt on “Vas”.
Within hours of the disclosure references to her at Novartis and places where she has board / advisory roles like the Swiss Stock Exchanges had changed her profile to “Ms.”. However google “Dr. Shannon Klinger” and there are still some areas where this has not been scrubbed.
