admin work unrealistic and not managable

Without at least a morning at minimum to do this and be out of the field to get it accomplished it is unrealistic. Obviously they expect us to spend our personal time accomplishing this since we are to be out making calls from 8-5. There is far too much paperwork especially now with the new managers "expectations". The things they now want before ride alongs it will take a day to gather all of it AT LEAST. This is ridiculous. You want me to work nights and weekends to get this shit done, pay overtime or give a raise, I didn't sign up for this micromanagement bullshit.

This is why there have been people leaving B+L in mass from over 2 years ago. Ever since Perry and Kathy put their friends together to run the company it's gone downhill in a bad way. If you haven't been here over 4 years then you wouldn't understand that there has almost been a 90% turnover of senior management and administration...horrible track record.

Yes, the expectations are so unrealisitc that you really have to put in a 10 hour day.... a few hours every night to run tracker after tracker so your boss knows you're looking at your business and working. They try to work you so hard to distract you from the real elephant in the room: the company will be sold off soon. It's a miserable existence at Bausch and Lomb and you're not being paid nearly enough to work like this.

Look for a new job, don't put B+L on your resume, and jump the hell off of this sinking ship. Severance only pays 1 week per year of service with the company- you're not building anything great by staying here since the average length of time a rep is around is now down to 2.5 years.

I was a rep under these people years ago at Novartis and were thoroughly hated by most back then with their micro-metrics management style that was hacky at best. How do these people keep landing jobs in pharma and ultimately imploding their companies with this maniacal leadership?

Flemming O. connected with them at Merck, brought them to Novartis for wholesale destruction, then dragged them over to B&L where they continue to perfect their craft. Their next gig will be wherever Flemming finds himself next. They'll survive the dissolution of B&L.
