I've said it before on this site and I'll say it again (maybe someone will look into this). I sold H. P. Acthar Gel in the late 70's as an Armour rep for a few bucks a vial! How could it cost that much more to make now than it did then??? Hell, most doctor's offices kept a vial around "just in case". In the mid 80's, Armour caught hell for raising the price of Factor VIII just 10 fold, from 6 cents per unit to 60 cents per unit. In fact, the federal government instituted average manufacturing price (not AWP) for reimbursement of FVIII because of this. You guys are really lucky they are not doing the same for Acthar.
