Account Rep - Acute Care?

Hello,

Can anyone please provide me with any info on the Account Rep position calling into Acute Care? Pay, level of micromanagement, etc….

My current position isn’t too bad but I’m only making between 75 – 100 / year.

This will not be a step up in pay! $45k base and $93 at plan. You will be better off pursuing Bard, Abbott, Medtronic. Supplies is a joke and management is incompetent. They hire kiss ass idiots who put on a good show but no actions to back it. The only division worth pursuing in supplies is Home Care/Alt Site. That's where we are growing! They will tell you top reps make $150. Not true! Realistic comp is $90-100k. With all the back orders, loss of contracts, and high quotas everyone is unhappy! It's a great starting pt for a recent college Grad, but doesn't help your resume for big device jobs!
 












It depends on what division you are in..The base the above poster is receiving is pretty good. Medical supplies is lower, but the company benefits are pretty solid. I am happy. You have to hustle anywhere these days, so find the niche that works for you.
