AbbVie vs Pfizer:

That is not really an insightful question as about 80-90% of ones opinion about a company would be based on their experiences with their immediate supervisor. I work for Pfizer for a long time, at times I thought the company was great other times I thought the company sucked, and it was based on who was my boss at that point in time.

And what's your assessment of Abbvie?

Pfizer is much better managed. AbbVie a corrupt cesspool.
I would agree. I worked for Abbvie first. After coming to Pfizer it's like getting a job at a much higher class company. My managers at Abbvie were all crazy and controlling. Most of them did things that were illegal against employees. The people at Abbvie had no class. Abbvie employees drink too much, take illegal drugs and sleep around at meetings. Everyday I say thank god I left and got a job at Pfizer! Pfizer really saved my sanity!

Well said! Sleeping around at meeting is actually a benefit of sorts, and has a somewhat sizable group of participants.

I've worked at both - they are big Pharma so they want you to drink the Kool Aid. It's the same Kool Aid just a different color/flavor - Pfizer Values and Abbvie Way. It's all total nonsense. Just do your job, act ethically and ignore the corporate BS!

Ive worked at both, both times in the rheumatology space. Both are big Pharma so there's lots of needless activity. Pfizer seemed only interested in shareholders. Here we seem only interested in how we are serving each other. Humira has made us arrogant, but the success is really contract driven. I like the benefits but wish I hadn't worked for either so long. I wish I would have found a Celgene or Biogen when they were young and actually paid people to perform.

So true. Pfizer not perfect but would have to sink to great depths to be at AbbVie's level. Corruption reigns and that won't change until the leaders do.

This is so true. The corruption at AbbVie starts at the top and endemic across the company. Humira's contracting success has led to a false arrogance, assumption of competence, and corruption. Pfizer isn't perfect but a much better company than AbbVie.
