A Viable Fix For Layoffs...CV Jobs

Have a buddy who left a shitty company just like ours for a gig at Quintiles/Innovex. Loads of opportunity over there with many contracts that have roll-over potential. Yes, I know, why stay in industry, right?

I don't have the answer, but it may be a very good fit for many, especially if you have CV experience. Bases are in the high 80s-mid 90s. My friend is making 94k base on two year role and could get rolled over if she performs well. I mean "perform" specific to sales not anything else for those who have their mind in the gutter.

It wasn't the "perform" that leads to the dirty thoughts, it is the "rolled over". Methinks you mean "rolled in"...

Otherwise, the CV Quintiles contracts - likely J&J - don't pay that kind of change usually. Benefits are less as well.

No way! I started with Novartis on a contract making in the LOW 40's with six years specific sales experience behind me.

If it is true information.... THANK YOU .... I would make a lot more money there than I do with Novartis!

True. They are paying more bc they don't want the typical contract pharma rep. They are looking specifically for experienced cardio specialty reps (not primary care) and are willing to pay them for their experience and their relationships with cardiologists

Interestingly enough, no one said they were paying me for my relationships with Cardiologists. However, they did say I was being compensated based on my years of CV experience + consistently strong performance.

Well good for you, mr strong performer. Just trying to help. You're so right smart guy, they don't care anything about your cardiology relationships. Guess I must have been misinformed.

Let me be more specific...they care about business relationships that result in success. if you're an ass-kissing rep who is "friends" with everyone in the territory and a consistent middle of the road performer...frankly, you suck. Relationships with RESULTS. Not the ass kisser who brings in treats everyday.

Obviously this is a recruiter. Contract positions rarely pay this kind of jack, but perhaps they might be looking for experienced reps who have an "in" with certain cardiologist for J&J's new drug/rival to Pradaxa
