And that is the gripe I have with it.

A sales career is simply about how good you can network into another job. All of the sociopaths do well in sales because they do everything to take credit for the results, without actually doing anything to deliver the result.

It is a sad and lonely game for people with integrity. Ending up like Willy Loman is not the way to cap off your career.
