I just spoke to a recruiter about a nationwide expansion. She couldn’t tell me the name of the company. Only that they received good news about a Generic Fish Oil and would be building a salesforce ASAP. These guys move quickly. The pay is way more than here. Does Dr. Reddy’s company have reps?

I’m on the East Coast and just received a call for a phone screen about it. Definitely interested.

I call BS....generic sales force? Gonna have to Mark that bad boy way up....so why not keep prescribing Vascepa.

A step down? Who in the frick are you. Potentially 35% Unemployment, people going bankrupt and you are focused on perception. Jeez.

It is a step down, let’s be honest. They pay less and benefits aren’t as good. That is not perception, it’s reality. When you’re laid off, you don’t always have a choice in whether you take a job or not... you have to take what you can get. But to say a consumer healthcare or a generic salesforce is the same quality as a biotech salesforce is a lie

dude.....base pay is in the 40-50k range. Bonus is like.....14k a yr....and metric driven. Here....they start you out at 70k. Some will move over to biotech. Biologics like Abbvie, Amgen, Biogen, etc....specialty divisions at Novartis, AZ, GSK, Lilly.....in the low 120–150k range depending on specialty, experience with target bonus at 35k.....plus stock, tons better benefits, upgraded company cars. You really think some consumer health/generic company is something to get excited about? Really? I guess it’s better than nothing. But if better than nothing blows your skirt up then I feel bad for your spouse. Or happy for your ex. Whichever the case.

That's funny... nobody is going to hire just because you worked there and sold a fish oil.... I'm sure there are great people working there but nobody knocking down doors to hire a soon to be laid off fish oil rep because of that experience.... my advice would be to take any job asap and double dip during training...

I don’t work at Amarin. But I did launch Omacor years ago....rolled over to Glaxo.....and sell Biologics at a different company now.
