I just saw the phrase and had to post on this site

Schecter, your message on Tuesday was the antithesis of Naps words.

The entire organization knows that you, and the "leaders" in MRL, MMD and Frazier are nothing but self-serving entitled individuals that have run this company into the ground. We have no hope, and cannot right this ship from our vantage point.

The only way merck is going to improve is if people like you step down.
 








WTF does second post have to do with first ???

If you think this is a funny game...you are an ass wipe..and worse.

Most of us are motivated by the desire to do a great job within a meaningful vocation.

Schecter was tripping over himself to say how fast we need to accelerate the changes that will dramatically impact the well being of Merck employees and their families.

He has done nothing as a leader to reinforce the importance of people working at Merck. He is an empty self-serving suit with no leadership capabilities. Bas

To drone on about what "we" need to do is extremely callous and has no impact on him...He is not part of the "we". You and I may, the many loyal, hard working members of the organization will be cut adrift due to the failed direction he has taken us. While "he" and his connected buds (not to forget his loser brother David), will get to ride what is left of Merck into the future.

Adam Schecter's demeanor on that T-C tells it all. We mean nothing to him or the org.. In essence, "cut them, cut them all...and make sure it is done by Christmas"...

Clarify post #2- it is obviously in they're own self interest to try and keep your fear tamped down. You need to keep your job. Do you abilities justify employment? Probably not. Just ask all those who stand in praise of the "15ers" who come on here all the time and brag about how little they do and all those others who dis. Merck. Stockholders dictate the actions of upper management, not you. Obviously you have been deemed disposable. Good luck.

I am one of those who was "deemed disposable". I'm now doing better than ever, while Merck is tanking. Good luck to YOU. If you hitch your wagon to Merck's horse, you're gonna need it.

Actually you are not doing well at all. If you could derive any satisfaction with yourself, you would not be here whining, yelling and constantly complaining. You are sad case that has not moved on to better things but instead seeks some sort of self-affirmation by attempting to disparage others. My guess is you lost your job and shortly after your wife left because she couldn't tolerate your bullying and blaming her for your problems. You come here because you seek Schadenfreude (you can go look it up) which you never achieve. Good luck in life because your current spiral will not deliver you from your own bad feelings about yourself. As you contemplate your attempt at a witty and acerbic (you probably have to look that up too) response, know this, everybody is just waiting for you to prove my point.
 




It is funny to see someone write that they're doing better than ever when this same person constantly posts hateful diatribes about a company that he/she no longer works for.
 








But what can we base our hope on? If you believe the rumors then this company has reached the edge of the cliff and is trying to pull back from the brink. I'm actually very confident that we are going to improve because I think the change in R&D is exactly what we've needed. And I'm seeing a lot of positive reaction in HQ even though we're more likely to be the ones losing our jobs.

I never really understand the change in perception regarding R&D. What specifically, other than there is less of it, do you changing for the better. Perhaps an example of an outcome that will now occur that would happen under the previous leadership. I just don't see it, but maybe I am not looking in the right place. Can you elaborate? I would like to feel the sense of hope you are describing.
