Linzess is going to generate more sales $ in year 2 than Amitiza does in year 9? Hmmmmm. I guess that being "the most experienced" is not all that it's cracked up to be. Amitiza is in the rearview mirror. Old news.

It is true, there is a new kid on the block. This isn't bad news for Amitiza though. Business is up for Amitiza since Linzess launched.

You're right about one thing. Amitiza's tiny bump is due to the arrival of Linzess creating an increased SOV concerning these disease states and not because Amitiza is 1/2 as good as you are claiming here. If practitioners believed any of this garbage, then you wouldn't be in last place!

Trying to create a positive thread about a med that is fading fast and riding the coat tails of the "new kid on the block?" That's like the coach whose team is down by 20 with 1 minute to go and he's telling them "Don't worry, we're still in it!" Linzess MC coverage has almost caught you, already (a lower WAC price on a QD dosed med will tend to do that for you) and I have not had a practitioner ever tell me that Amitiza is safer or more effective. Uh oh, hear comes that iceberg....to the life rafts!
 




Yes we should all be proud. It took us 9 years to do what Linzess did in 3. We are great - NOT!!!

This thread sums up the culture of Takeda. Pat ourselves and each other on the back for finally doing something that the competition did better and faster. There you go. It's pretty much the mentality and culture of Takeda in a nut shell.
