60 Minutes, Sunday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m

Employees should refrain from watching 60 minutes on Sunday, May 12 at 7 PM est.

Sun taking another hit? I’m already being asked about why AG hasn’t been let go by my top docs. I’ll have a drink in hand in front of my tv. At this point you got to just laugh it’s so bad. NEVER have I seen a company keep someone like AG around after what has happened. The rest of us would have been long gone.

No need to keep revisiting the past. It is time to move forward and focus on the business as it exists now. These shows are a distraction to our success.

Wrong.

We can only move forward with a good strategy, clear direction, and with a belief and trust in leadership. None of that currently exists.
There is no success to be distracted from /or do you describe success as really-really poor results, poor bonuses, TONS of people resigning and a company reputation that’s in the toilet.

We are the world’s fifth largest specialty generics pharmaceutical company. We are also India’s largest and most valuable pharmaceutical enterprise by size and market capitalisation. We are company of growth. Our quality and corporate governance are sound. These issues are from long ago and we will not be distracted by them.

Who cares how big Sun is in India or it’s market cap, it’s irrelevant.

A company of growth ? Well, I’ve been here two years and we’ve not hit the global nor US target. 0 for 2 baby.

You say quality and corporate governance are sound ? Now I’m worried: major, alleged state of the art mfg facilities shut down multiple times, 12 product recalls. Two whistleblower suits this YTD and a US CEO who just settled insider trading violations. You call that sound quality and corporate governance ?

These issues are not from long ago, they are now. They affect us, our customers and patients.

And it is a distraction for all of us until with Dilip or Abhay hold an open meeting to discuss these issues and the real honest future of Sun.

This is simply arrogance, and ignorance.

Face the facts! No it is not. Understand that SUN Pharma has made and will continue to make most of their money on crappy generics in a bazaar-like marketplace. The branded people are an experiment. If it does not work, then it can easily be removed or changed. Brands require people and resources. Generics require con men. Brands will either add to the pot, or go to pot. Money in, or brand teams out!

Absolutely it’s arrogance ... someone beating their chest how big they are. But in the US, Sun is a gnat on an elephant’s ass.
Don’t kid yourself - Dilip has lost billions and billions, and he’s also losing face with this failure in the US.
