But I am confused. If it is all part of the risk profile of older patients in general population, how many patients have been on drug since June approval. Not many. So this is 3 of them in uncontrolled commercial market? So should they be monitored in a clinical trial like NCD.

Nothing to see here. Just think of the extra time they were provided at a 20% slower decline. Wait that didn't happen.

The death that was in the news awhile back was a patient who had been in the clinical trials and then extension study out of Canada. You can find the details online now. Had history of previous ARIA. Had routine MRI, Third party radiologist missed moderate ARIA. Patient continued on drug for a couple of months. Had some disorientation and was told to just wait it our got a couple of days. Husband finally brought her to hospital when it got worse. Totally mishandled.

Just because a few patients croaked is no reason to get excited. How many drugs and hospitals kill 1,000’s of patients each year? The real question is can we make a profit on a drug!
