2nd thoughts now about Forest

I am getting ready for an interview with Forest and thought I would check out this board. Hardly anything positive about the company. Is it really that bad? The drugs that I would promote are Savella, Bystolic and Viibryd.

You come to a complaining website for advice...don't come here, you're an idiot.

What could be wrong with Forest. Other than we just lost 55% of our revenue and are hiring a contract sales force. As every other pharma company are cutting reps like crazy forest is add in the lost of revenue. I am sure there is no big cut coming or buy out from another company. So don't worry take the job just be ready to have the rug pulled out at anytime, because it is coming. The best advice I could give is to start getting ready for the day when there will be no pharma reps. Fortune favors the prepared.

interview w/ forest is a joke.
1) phone screen
2)F2F w/ hiring manager
3)F2F w/hiring manager , sell them something, routing
4)field ride
5)meet with RD (RD say anything to put you down)
Offer $52,000 base and you work work 60 plus hours, min 10 signatures a day or you will be talking to your DM everyday.
Hopes this helps.

Unfortunately it's really that bad here. Very inexperienced senior management and very immature middle management. Be prepared for micromanagement by numbnuts that haven't a clue what they're doing but think they know everything and then getting put on the exit plan if you try any form of independant thinking. You can put up with it for 1 -2 years but plan on keeping your resume out while you're in training and take the first bus out.

It is worse than you can imagine. Bottom line are weekly numbers. You join a bad team and you are done. Managers have no training and are back stabbers. Look or another job. Yo'll be sorry if you take it.

If you sell B2B and sell copiers or office products, stay where you are and look to entry level medical sales. Stay away as the whole "sales goals/ sales measurement" is a joke. I got more respect going door to door selling pens then in offices beating up docs to prescribe Lexapro. Do what you want...

I left in November. :) your 3 drugs are DOGS----unless you have medicaid coverage, which you probably don't. Like someone said, it all depends on your manager and you have about 10% chance he/she is cool. Most are db's. BTW, don't even try to have an opinion or believe that this is "your business to run as you see fit." They want a bunch of robots with no original thoughts of their own.

Hope that helps!

well said, that is why I left, to truly run my own business

and my dm was a cunt from hell

Take my advice. Do not pursue a job with Forest. You will regret it. I was fired from Forest and I did nothing wrong. That's right. This is not a joke. It will end up being a blemish on your resume. The job might only last 6 months or a year. Other pharmaceutical managers look down on Forest representatives. That's a fact Jack. There is no security at Forest. They claim they have never had layoffs. Have you ever wondered why they are always hiring? They are REPLACING people. If I were you I'd investigate why your position is open. If they say the person was promoted, then find out what happened to the person that had the position to allow that person to be promoted. See where I am going with this? It's their way of covering up someone being fired. That is a huge red flag.

This should give you a clue on Forest's mindset. I was set to interview last week. Got an e-mail, that said I had to many years experience. 3 was the max. I had 10.

You would think that since it is well known that Forest is the worst company in the industry to work for they might get a clue and change some things here. It exemplifies just how moronic the leadership is -

You are 100 percent right!! I've worked at Forest for a year and have top numbers and they are already trying to fire me for no reason! Management sucks and they would NEVER make it anywhere if they left Forest!!! They have no idea how to manage and if it's not their way, it's the highway!! Turnover is high and they like inexperenced reps. so they can controll you!! God forbid you stick up for yourself!!! Then your "FIRED"!!!! The base sucks and the only people that stay are the reps. that are die hard Forest Reps. making 90k base because they'll never make that kind of money anywhere else!! The managers are immature and have no clue what the hell they are doing!! Don't be surprised if they are non compliant either!! They bribe doctors with speaker programs and then your DM throws you under the bus for it when he told you to do it!! They have lots of lawsuits against them too!!!! FOREST IS TOP 100 COMPANY NOT TO WORK FOR!!!!
