Are there going to be any changes to the 2016 Comp Plan? Can it get any worse?

It can get worse.. Hopefullly it doesn't but it has been trending the wrong way the past few years. The industry has dramatically changed in the last few years. Profit margins have gotten tighter, technology has changed, and labcorp's budget is as lean as venison burger. All signs point to the same as this year or less.
its the worst ever....I have never seen it this bad. It's time to jump ship. Get out now, if you can.
All I hear is "can't do this or that because of budget, budget, budget"! Always the excuse to me working a job that requires 3 people to do. It's salary theft and i borders on criminal behavior. I didn't sign up to be thr kae, sme, and sde all in one or agree to having my territory tripled in size after i was hired. Most companies use a budget as a guide but can deviate or amend it when/where it makes sense. This place is run by accountants who scares higher level management into ripping the shit out of middle and first line management, to not deviate from the budget and to look for creative ways to be under budget as much as possible. Leaving reps and lab workers to suffer and ultimately, the client. In turn, management makes bonus because they stayed under budget. Horribly run company! And an even worse company to work for..
I have heard that Quest pays you some lump sum if you cover any other rep's territory for a month or longer if assigned rep is on maternity leave or leave of absence. This lab does not pay you a dime. They are blood suckers.
Quest does it the right way.. Labcorp says and I quote directly from management "we need all hands on deck" and "we know you can handle it".. This company is bush league and doesn't have a clue in regards to respect of others.

If Quest is so great, why do their reps come to work for us in large numbers?
no matter what you do, there are going to be some employees who will never be satisfied. But compare the numbers of employees coming to Quest from Lab Corp and vice versa, I bet the numbers from Lab Corp coming to Quest are greater. Quest is without doubt a better company. It is technologically more advanced, better benefits and to top it all: does not disrespect the employees. If Quest is so great, why do their reps come to work for us in large numbers?

When reviewing yelp posts, cafe pharma, or any other reviews. I always look for consistency in both negative and postive posts. The postive at Labcorp, is they have exceptional testing capability but that is about it. The negatives are, labcorp clearly does not respect their employees, service levels are awful, not enough staff, the comp plan is terrible, and they are cheap. This is the perception out there for labcorp, can they survive long term with this business model? Great product but nothing else except for low cost. Time will tell when national contracts are up for renewal. Quest is a first class organization and I bet they will be back after managed care organizations see the labcorp shitshow on a daily basis and learn the cost savings is not worth it. Just my two cents.
Given length of managed care contracts, that will takw quite some time.
Contracts are contingent on the company making good on the metrics that are agreed upon. If there not met, an insurer can always renege and open up talks with another lab.. So, the duration is irrelevant.
Let us know the first time that happens.
