2014 Sales force predictions

Any thoughts on what the sales force will look like next year? I know no one has a "crystal ball" and can see into the future but if i was placing money I would bet that:

- GYN role gone
- possibly a hernia specialist?
- Endo Stapler specialist?
- Commodity rep or TL?

No matter what happens we will still have too much responsibility for the pay.
 
















































So glad I left last year! I was in GYN saw the crap coming and left on my own. My advise is that if you have nothing to go to stay there and wait for the right thing to come along. But jump as soon as it does!

Good to see you are in a better place however Stevie Wonder could see GYN has no future. That place has not had a new product since the first Bush was in office. The same thing that happened to Advanced Wound Care (anyone remember this franchise) will eventually happen to GYN. It will be divested. Remember even when a franchise makes millions it could still be considered a loser to JNJ.

Here is how you know a franchise has no future with JNJ. Zero investment in the business; new new products, recycled leadership biding time until they can move to another business unit.
 






Totally agree about GYN. I became one last year, obviously out of my control, and it has been a miserable well paying job for the time I put in. But not fun nor fulfilling at all. Even if this GYN role was a passion writing is on the wall that the company does not care enough to develop/invest in new products.
 






There is more investment going into EBS than any other Ethicon company (and it is not even close). They are not being folded into any other company; if anything, another company will be folded into EBS (most likely part of GYN - Intercede).

I would definitely not want to be a part of Ethicon energy right now..close behind that is GYN

I think you're correct that DMs should be concerned..I don't think we will see much rep impact, maybe a few energy reps let go, but we definitely won't need DMs from 3 op co's
 






LMAO @ some of you clueless clowns. Will there be merging? Yep. EBS, however, will not be one of them (and I do not work FOR EBS rather another J&J company). EBS is the only Ethicon company that increased budget money AND lab investment for Divisions. Also factor in one recent-released product, as well as 4 in the next 1.5 to 2 years.

I get it, you want to hate Ethicon, but please has some idea what you are talking about before posting drivel. I would love to shed some insight on Baxter, but why lie about crap to total strangers on a message board?
