Why are we going to pay more money for greatly reduced healthcare benefits? The 2013 plan doesnt have a ppo option only HRA and HSA. Paying more out of each paycheck than the price of private insurance. Is this company about to fold?? PDI has better benefits! Why are they doing this to their employees?? Maybe because everybody needs a job, no matter what.
 












Corporations are in cahoots with barry to make private and corporate insurance both poor incoverage and expensive so that barry's plan begins to look good. It is not paranoia if someone is really out to get you.
 
























obamacare didn't even take effect yet. don't blame obamacare, like management did. they're using it as an excuse to cut benefits and they don't even know if they need to yet. all this talk about billion dollar projects coming but they cut benefits so it'll cost employees more. that's what happens with private equity firms so thank god romney lost
 












It's because 2013 is the year we all have to start paying our "fair share" for pre-existing condition coverage. Next year the sh*t will start to hit the fan everywhere--premiums, taxes, surcharges for certain services, lower reimbursements for providers. Obamacare takes place in phases. Google it and you will see who/what will be affected.

Example: If someone is admitted to hosp for heart failure and then discharged, the hosp/docs will not get reimbursed if the pt is re-admitted within 30 days of d/c. What does this mean for patients? No admission? Management at home? Slower discharge? Who knows....
 






I used to work for Ventiv and may be coming back. I know the medical plan is not as good as it used to be, but it would really help me to know in advance what the cost is per employee and spouse, and the cost for family. Thanks so much for your help.
 












Obamacare has nothing to do with it. My husband's company (not in pharma) added the 'Obama' plan which was less $$ and less benefits AND continued to offer their traditional plan which cost a little more (same out of pocket relative to last year) but benefits make waaayy more sense. These companies that are blaming Obamacare, whether you like him or not it doesn't matter, are putting up a "smoke screen" to confuse and take advantage of their employees for the company's own benefit. Pharma taught us well to spot smoke screens and call out our targets, do they expect we won't do the same with them?

It doesn't matter if Obamacare has not been enacted. It has impact now as is evident from your own statement. The impending Obamacare has caused managment to react.
 






























It's simple– It costs the company less. They don't care about you, or the long-term morale of its associates but they care greatly about anything that makes them less profitable.

There is no other answer.
