ISTA is no longer able to buy B+L and there is no other potential buyer on the horizon. Also the earliest B+L could IPO is in 2014. This means that 2012 is going to be an easy safe year for everyone. No Sale, No IPO, and no changes to your job or organization in 2012. Overall it is going to be a good year. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I can't even imagine having to enter calls every day to meet reach and frequency guidance and even if you are calling on the doctors and not faking those calls, what do you possibly have to say that is even remotely relevant and hasn't been said by the 10 reps that worked your area before you.

B&L pharm reps are such a joke these days.

As far as an outside sales rep goes.

bank was working for eyeonics before B&L destroyed Crystal lens. 250 to 400K for the top reps.

Bank working for some top tier med device companies now is making 200 to 250K

working for B&L pharma, even of you are top rep, MAYBE making 140K if the stars align and you rock everything, is not bank. average rep at B&L makes less than 90K per year.
some make 0. what's top per quarter now, 40k if you can even hit it. I don't hear anyone making any money there and I talk to a few.

90k, working part time 20 hours per week, faking calls, company car, + bennies = not bad...but not bank.
