2011 Lilly Predictions

Weigh In:

Can Lilly break out of the 35+/- 3 stock trading range?

Absolutely. Lilly will be trading around $25+/- 3 by November of 2011. Another prediction is that once the first patent expires in November, there will be mass layoffs of the non-management ranks resulting in the lowest moral and productivity in the company's history. Backstabbing will reach new heights as everyone will be fighting for fewer career opportunities. The unfair practices of Lilly's diversity program will be scrutinized like never before. And finally, Lilly's credit rating will be lowered once again.

Oh, and one more thing. Big John will retire in ultra-comfort moving far away from the ghost town once called Indiana.

The rust belt becomes the meth belt as unemployed scientists scramble to pay their rent....

I predict that in Germany's equivalent of the Kentucky Appalachias, where the word "lechleitern" means "total complete failures of incalculable magnitude" the sounds of jøn crooning to jån,"There's A Place For US" will echo through the frozen hills and valleys...

I believe they will announce additional job reductions beyond the 5500 that were planned to be phased in through 2010-2011. The situation has deteriorated markedly since that plan was hatched in 2009. It is becoming evident that Erbitux is a dog, Effient is a bust so far, and the pipelie continues to sputter.

Don't forget that nobody done the "cypherin'" to factor in the cost of healthcare legislation and that key assumptions of Fip-a-polooza are no longer valid. The share price isn't the critical factor anyway, its making sure the institutional investors that are holding the larger blocks continue to hold them otherwise, they will all wake up one morning to find out some other pharma or conglomerate is a near-majority shareholder.

Although, it would be amusing to find out that we traded Col. Eli for Col. Sanders...

Colonel Sanders is a corporate insider. There are over 50 VPs whose big mouths needs to be fed as well, plus an entire floor or two of the corporate center full of lawyers. The whole situation is complete reactionary cronyism. Swap out all of the upper management, take the lumps and emerge as Pfizer Lilly. My prediction. Are you ready to get Pfizered?

But, but, but if you swap out all of Lilly's upper management team, who will lead us through the successful implementation of FIPNET? FIPNET is our path to the promised land.

Colonel Sanders, that was a great topic during your evening IUPUI Executive Program. Let it rest. It was only an exercise, k?

Re: Dec.25, 2011

Let's give them a few month's pay, and in the process rip them off of all UC eligibility, why not - hey we got Mitch in the Gov mansion!

Why certainly. We have not provided anything remotely resembling a "hostile work environment" which could easily spell into a mass harassment case, have we?

I predict restraint-of-trade lawsuits filed by scientists who were let go, and are now being hampered and intimidated by lillie lawyers as they attempt to give interview seminars on material that has been "signed off on", having been published and in the public domain already.
