Yah, I just read a book on UFOs and they are real because I read it! Just because YOU believe what you read, I do NOT as I am a free thinker and see what this company is NOT> Its not a good place to work for long term career! It is not an ethical company to work for as all the won & settled out of court Law Suits show this! Definitely a place you can TRUST because of the years of lies we all have endured. Since 1999 Novartis creation by merger said we would launch more blockbusters and be number 1> Never have, never will. Number one is earned not stolen. Try thinking freely and see the writing on the walls. This place sucks for those who have been here too long and someday You too will see. We told ya so.

If that is the way you feel, why are you still here? If I were that miserable and had such a low opinion of the company, I would take my talents and abilities and go somewhere else. Anyone who is "thinking freely" should not need a message from Jiminez to let them know that cuts are coming. Not sure if you are aware, but Diovan is paying for PC and is about to go generic. Do you think there is anything close to making up for that $ loss and can sustain the current payroll?
 






I think we can agree that with all the hope and change, we should know change is coming to everyone. I had a physician tell me yesterday the economy is hurting you guys more than you know. I agree.

Part of the change is creating seperate PC and Spec. Does anyone have any information on how this will effect business? Larger territories, less reps, what to sell? Thanks and good luck to everyone!
 






yah I believe 2000, like I believe every launch we have is a blockbuster drug, or like I believe in Novartis Transparency, Or HR as an employee resource, or in all the drugs that Got PULLED by FDA, or etc..... Yah OK 900 US phew... What a joke you all are...
 












If I put my foot in a bucket of water, it gets wet. If I work at Novartis I must face annual reductions in workforce. Stop complaining. You know what time it is around here fools. Nothing new at all to report.
 












It only makes sense to prepare for significant cuts every year, but this should have been the plan before the last few downsizing. The reps who are smart have prepared for whatever happens. They have money set aside. They have taken advantage of the higher degrees they have been able to attain on the company dime. They have started, or set the plan for another career WAY before it is necessary. Having said that, they also will wait until the next downsizing so they can take advantage of the severance and perks that will be given to them to make them go quietly into that dark night!
 






Supposedly a lot of the positions that are being eliminated are campus based this time around, and this scummy company may not be giving severance packages this go around. Real scummy thing to do in this economy. Does this company wonder why it scored so low on the surveys?

Yes, they are very pissed over in Basil that the Americans scored them low on the surveys. They may never get over it
 






Basil? You should at least know your employer is headquartered in Basel before you berate them.

Seriously, I’m surprised by the animosity expressed towards Novartis and towards each other on this board. If you don’t like y our employer, look for another one. That’s the power you have.
 












Sanofi.rep here. Going through the same stuff. It's the industry folks. It's over and we.are dying a.slow.death. where.do.we all go? Does Obama have the.answer??? Now thats a joke.
 






Good reps will always have a job, if you don't love it now is the time to get out. The jobs pays well that's why many of us got in it in the 1st place. I got in it for the wrong reasons but in march when a doc was begging me to do more talks or else, I knew I left for the right reasons. Can't pretend to enjoy the challenge anymore.
