$150-$175k compensation?

A recruiter contacted me for a lab sales position with a company that doesn't have a board here. The position is on Long Island doing specialty samples, and he quoted potential $150k-$175k first year compensation (base in $70's + $11/sample). Thoughts? It seems unrealistically high to me, but I'm coming from pharma and understand the pay structure is different.
 






If it is Bio, not any longer, too many people. Sunrise or Enzo you could, however I don't think they have a specialty team. Bostwick started up a specialty gastro team, however I don't believe they make that kind of money. If it is selling a specific test, then they are lying.

What is the name of the lab? What speciality do they perform?
 
















































What can you make in sales at Dianon???? I am getting conflicting numbers...100k, 120k, 200k? what can i expect? What is the comp plan base +comm? base +bonus over quota?

It's unlikely that they'll be hiring... the company usually starts the annual hiring freeze and layoff cycle to rig the numbers so DK and friends get their maximum bonus.
 






45-55k base depends on how much you can bring to the table, bonus look at another company if you want a bonus.
car is provided but it is taken out of your pay checks.

look at your base for total comp, no way you wil make $150k, no reps make that if they do they change the comp plan so that rep will leave

they always do a hiring freeze and big RIF at this time of the year, sometimes it starts august or sept, then they will rehire in Jan.
