120Ker update

Hey Guys,

It's me again the 120Ker brought in from outside to launch Pradaxa. Remember me? Just wanted to update everyone that things are going swimmingly for me and my district. This drug is literally selling itself in the hospitals. I haven't seen one account that hasn't already started the process of getting it on formulary. My job is easy. Everyone on the hospital team is equally talented and smart enough to launch this drug. The only difference is my base salary of 120k/yr. Thanks BI for bringing me on board. My life is great.

There are plenty of reps making over $120k in base pay. You aren't that special Nancy.

Could be KG...... Whoever it is has a big mouth and a small brain, you aren't worth the $120K, enjoy it now because if the drug is selling itself, you won't be needed for long. Do you really believe the company will continue to pay $120K? Pretty dumb of you to think so, that's where the small brain comes in.

Actually, nobody with BI is making 120K unless you're a 30 yr vet. I guarantee the original hospital reps with BI are averaging between 70-85K tops. BI is notorious for being one of the worse paying pharma companies. What's great is that I made about 90K my last job and got a 30K bump in salary here at BI. It is great being me.

Nope, try again. There are many reps making between $120-$130K base with between 10-15 years experience. Maybe not in your division, but some divisions do pay that. The fact that you will probably discount this as false without even checking is why you will likely stay at the salary you are currently at.

You are only making that with 10-15 years experience?!? Wow, that sucks. I only have four years of experience and made $198,000.00+ in 2010 with bonus. Oh, wait, I'm not a rep. Quit being a dick. Your pay doesn't impress people and you are only trying to stir shit up.

Kudos to you. I am a legacy rep making 85000. The sad thing is Tom sold BI a bill of goods that he needed to pay for the best talent when the realty is that the specialty reps could have been promoted and got this on formulary....the drug is selling itself.
Get Micardis on formulary and then I will be impressed.

Great Point! You prove 2 things. 1)Any asshole can be a hospital rep
2)Having an out of control ego
only increase your "Asshole" quotient.

Famous quote: (From Dennis Miller's Mom) "Don't be an asshole"

30 seconds with you will prove to anyone to whom you open your mouth that you failed his moms advice.

God, I hope they do jump ship. The hospital reps in my area are a total waste. They think they are so much better than primary care. but then of course, they need us and it's a different story. You know who you are. Losers.

Exactly. I just passed 4 years last month and I made just shy of $200k last year. I'm also not a rep. Sales pays shitty. Get a real job.

The fact that you are still posting on CP kind of nullifies the whole 'I'm too cool to be a rep" angle. If you make $200k I'm guessing most of it is spent on therapy, 900 numbers and a panties-by-mail subscription.

If you are gullable enough to think that the original post is a hospital rep, it is completely obvious why you were either passed over for a hospital position. Bashing hospital reps is an easy cheap shot on this board. Try bringing this topic up to a hospital reps face and let the real story separate into fact and fiction real quick.

It's the 120Ker here,

Quit being silly guys nobody in pharma makes over 130K. So stop. My point is there is an incredible disparity in salaries between legacy BI reps and hospital reps brought in from outside. From what I'm hearing the salaries range from 100K minimum to 120K (me). I know a rep making 138K from TMC. Whereas the legacy reps make between 70-85. It's funny how we're all doing the same work which is learning names in our accounts (this drug sells itself). This may be the last great job in pharma. It's great being me.

120Ker out.

Not in sales, but else where you make more than 120K as a base. Don't be so narrow minded. Then again, that's why you are only making 120K.

Not only are you a liar, you are an instigator. There is no way you are making 120K. Get a real life, job and a grip on reality

Shut the F up fool! I can buy you and your family! You at 80K and me at 120 means that I am 1.5 times the man you are! So shut the f up. Go back to your 1200sq home and watch your 30inch non-HD TV. I wear a 12K rolex and all my italian suits are custom fitted. Everybody loves me and wants to be me. I wear Magnums! I repeat...IT IS GREAT BEING ME!

120Ker out!
