10 Ways to Be a Good Boss

Look at the list below and observe how many of these behaviors are exhibited by your superiors at Novartis. Or, more probably to what extent they embody the antithesis of these values!

1. Be Honest.

2. Give Time.

3. Be Visible.

4. Have Integrity.

5. Keep an Open-Mind.

6. Bring Forgiveness.

7. Have a Sense of Humor.

8. Stand Up. B

9. Be a Non-Blamer.

10. Give R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

OMG! This is so funny! I worked there too- and I can honestly say - I rarely saw any of these attributes exhibited in any of my managers. Not sure what the rest of the company is like.

I would also add...confidentiality....

Nothing is private between reps, their managers AND the whole OU. It seems like so often when I have field visits that my manager is telling me private things about other reps in the OU. I really think it is unethical for a manager to tell a rep such private things about someone else. These are things that I have proof that the other reps would not want to be public knowledge.
