With the new information that we are not salespeople, maybe the people who were let go because of a 1 rating or anyone on a PIP for sales have a case. Good question for the attorneys.
 












It is the so called sales reps and their lawyers who are taking the stance that you sell nothing! Novartis tried to maitain that you were professional, salaried individuals, paid on sales performance. Isn't it funny who is on what side of this argument? Sales reps, man talk about biting off your nose to spite your face! What flipping idiots!
 












Good point! I know that in the last layoff a 1 was a huge factor in who was mapped and who was not. I bet you could find someone to take this case since Supreme Court agreed that the pharm rep is not an acutal sales job. WOW! This is HUGE!

This is bigger then just "pharm rep is not an actual sales job", it will effect other types of so-called "sales jobs". It will be interesting....

How will it effect other types of so-called "sales Jobs"? The courts determined that pharma reps are not sales reps because they DO NOT take product orders or have physicians sign a contract for their drugs, which is UNLIKE "real" sales reps jobs in other industries, who DO have customers sign contracts or take orders. I've been on both sides of the fence and I'll say this like many others have posted: PHARMA REPS ARE NOT REAL SALES PEOPLE! You are radio commercials = right offer, right audience, right frequency. A customer has to hear the message at least three times before he/she will remember it. Much like the drugs you are "promoting" to your Dr.'s.
When will some of you get this through your head??? Try getting a B2B job and then one day you'll figure it out.
 






Exactly apply for real sales job. See how much stock is put on sales experience in pharma. Very little. They are not impresses with performance frontier selling crap in reviews.
 






True! The performance review is a bunch of made up crap. Mark my words that a lawsuit will come out of this ruling by Supreme Court. The mental that some reps were put through for numbers when they were doing everything they were supposed to do but a pip was added and the *&ll they went through while trying to get the so called numbers up were manipulated by pharmacies, physician Inquiery manipulation by other reps that were analyzing your DAM report and taking physicians out or looking to see if the physician writing in your territory was a specialist you were not suppose to get credit for and also physicans opting out on the FDA website by having there data removed which happens everyday. WHAT A JOKE THIS JOB HAD TURNED OUT TO BE!! GM's , FLM's are useless now and are not needed since now we are marketing(customoer service) reps.
