$300 cost for senior citizens

Usually, my parents' Doctor sends out a Cologuard test. The test arrives at their home and they send it back. This year, the test never arrived after the Dr. requested it. My parents called Cologuard and there is now a $300 charge. Not sure how this is possible. They are on Medicare. Why all of a sudden charge $300 to the elderly?

I am sorry that you think that I work for the competitor. I do not. I am in NYC Metro area and the health system that my parents are in is the Northwell network. My parents called Cologuard directly and they were told the same thing. Cologuard, a test they have used and trusted for years will now cost them $300.
