Well with diabetes being trained on Wegovy first, guess is diabetes reps get priority filled in with obesity reps where there are openings. We knew this was coming. No territory needs any more than one rep to cover all products. Novo has had way too many reps for way too long. Every other pharma company has only one rep per territory. Here we go…

A DCS has no idea what they’re getting into with weight management. If anything, an ocs will prioritize Wegovy then sell Ozempic and Rybelsus when a patient has diabetes. 2 reps per territory. Maybe smaller territories so minimal cuts, but some cuts for sure. OE/DE hybrid should cover 2-3 territories.

I will agree with you in part here, and I am a DCS who used to be an OCS. What would make sense is 3 reps per territory, inclusive of Wegovy, Oz, Ryb and Insulins/future indications. Also, 1 E rep per district, 1 educator per district. 1 DM.

Both weight management and diabetes are easy sells with GLP1. Quit acting like it’s difficult.
 




Exactly! You don’t need 3 reps per territory calling on the same docs with the same products. That’s ludicrous! And no other pharma company does that anymore! One rep, smaller territories. Boom, done

As someone who was an OCS now DCS…please! It doesn’t take rocket science to sell Wegovy.
 












Pressure from Wall Street is too great. We can’t continue to grow at the pace external stakeholders want without making dramatic cuts. Prepare for massive rif. Oh, and especially in the marketing department. The tennis shoe posse isn’t really needed when brand awareness is 1,000,000%. End of Q3 into Q4 so that 2025 starts clean is what I’m hearing.
 




100% sure this thread lacks informed comments, sounds like leadership, only your opinion matters. If you’re a rep in the field you generally don’t get the bigger picture. If you’re in home office then you’re likely out touch with customers and reality. If you’re director or above you’re being paid enough to believe anything your told and lie with conviction to your subordinates. Sound about right? The footprint eliminates head count from diabetes and adds to obesity, almost doubling share of voice for a much bigger pot of obesity lives.

Managers get rated and placed by the usual criteria and displaced DCS reps get moved into OCS roles which are no longer speciality. Displaced reps/managers can repost for any vacancies. This likely grows additional districts and two regions nationally.

plan on this dropping late summer with specifics for placements delivered November timeframe. They want to make sure focus is on brand and no one stops working until December break.

First POA January 2025, we are in new modernized alignments.

yeah, that looks about what I’d heard. The reps will be diabetes or obesity lead 1 or 2.
most will have partners. headcount should be neutral except for managers.
