You keep screwing with the lives of hundreds of employees and talking smack on stage that you do NOT have the decency to adhere to.

STOP talking shit and tell us who the fuck stays and who the fuck goes already.

We all hope someone treats your wife, children and family members in the same dishonest and despicable way you've treated all of the employees for who you have been granted responsibility.

You're disgusting.

Too funny. I love how the poor performing reps that could never get another job do nothing but post comments on CP. They're entertaining to read. If you don't like the way you're treated, get another job. Oh wait, I forgot, nobody else wants you. How about selling Amway?

not everyone that posts on CP works in the field dick head. some people work for the company in manufacturing at rtp, andover, morphotek and wcl. so fuck off. reps don't own CP.

What do you reps think about the scientific side of things at Eisai?

How is scientific management regarded?

What will happen to R&D in the US on 3/7?

Scientific management is in the same boat as field sales and anyone else working for Eisai, Inc. We feel your pain. But to say that we have any opinion or know what you do is somewhat naive of how we function. Sales reps are isolated in their own worlds. If you ask anyone on this board for an opinion it will most likely be negative. We have never met but I appreciate that you took the time to read this board and ask what we think of you. Unfortunately most of us don't know (and honestly probably don't care) who you are. We are a self centered bunch.

So you're a bunch of pricks like all other management. Big of you to finally admit it.

The only one who defends OB and LC here is OB or his unemployed spy wife who is too worried about her life style after OB's dismissal.

You are quite wrong. Allot of PC/Specialty reps like OB very much He is a good person, and you are a fool. Karma has a way of coming back to people. After the assault you have focused on him, I wonder what similar thing will happen to you. No am one of those lowly PC reps who just sees a guy who is sincerely trying his best in a situation that he has very little control over. Ever hear the expression "Don't shoot the messenger?"

Thanks for this. I just stumbled upon this site and was a little taken back at the immediate hostility I received after posting. No need for it. I was beginning to feel like Luke walking into the Star Wars Cantina.

Sales folks don't know much about the R&D side, nor do R&D and Med Affairs understand nor respect sales and marketing. Result? Folks in the ivory tower just talk to each other in that elitist kind of way and look down on marketing and sales. MSLs who feel "special" too cause they are sooooo PhD. Then sales folks think that the scientific folks are clueless about real business, see zero benefit from MSLs, and have an attitutde of "what else do you expect" when debacles like eritoran and aciphex 50 happen.

Seriously, the R&D folk think that you guys are out there doing your jobs, we don't even give it a second thought that you guys aren't out there killing it, as best you can. We've never thought that this mess is on you guys. WE get marginalized by the PhD club. We are told what to work on by the big bosses, regardless of what we think the chance of success will be. We're all pawns in the fucking game, and there's not reason to diss anyone.

R&D- spent in excess of $7 billion over the last 10 years and only have Halaven to show for it, which took 16-17 years. Eisai's R&D is seriously F'd up from top to bottom.

Only 1 in 10 small molecule drugs get approved by the FDA, and I'm only talking about the drugs that make it through phase III (never mind the drugs that drop out in earlier clinical trials). The odds are better for protein drugs, which is why Eisai needs a larger effort in biologics. The cost of bringing a single drug to market is hundreds of millions and more than 60% of that cost is clinical trials. R&D does its best to figure out the best drug candidates with cell assays and animal models etc, but humans are not the same as mice, rats and rabbits....so if a drug doesn't make it through to commercialization, its bad luck. The FDA has seriously tightened approval standards in the last decade too.

I would not say that Eisai's R&D is "F'd" up. Actually, Eisai is a fairly young company and since it takes more than 10 years to develop a drug... its doing pretty well. Eisai is only guilty of not adequately planning for their patent cliff.
