Too many people in Vision Care - some really good people too, some that should have been let go weren't, instead they let the good ones go. This is ludicrous - there are some ridiculous titles in FW that make way more money than us reps that need to go. Lots of the stupidity at the top gets to keep their jobs. I'm looking elsewhere this place has become such a joke!

How many in sales and how many in home office? Who all did we lose?

Lost several good, high performing reps. GA, IA, ND. PClub winners. Those selected to be kept have not performed as well over past few years vs. those let go. One rep kept still has not completed training. Asinine.

Excessive growth targets in Vision Care, growing at 2X the market and still cutting. Absurd.

It is a cafe Pharma blog under the thread called "roll call".

I don't always agree with posts but the past few weeks this place has been SPOT ON. Let people post. Agree with the further above posts.

Spoken like a true 'lady'. Until there is an anti-bitch pill, your drink is safe. Hell has no fury like a woman scorned. Sounds like you didn't make the cut, sweetheart.

...and North Dallas?...It is a shame, my heart goes out to those who lost their jobs. Bright side is, from the sounds of it, this may end up being a blessing in disguise...I wish everyone who was let go the best of luck, I am sure you will all bounce back to your feet soon.

Some jerkoff (Tom B) on Carie C's Vision Care team tried to tell the survivors that this was a good thing for everyone. Jackass obviously didn't have any friends let go or face the situation himself.

its funny how everyone is calling the people not fired at Alcon "survivors". Like, if you don't work at Alcon you're nothing. Little heads up kiddos. There are SO many better jobs. Alcon is a stop off right out of college. And most companies will not hire a pharma rep who has been there 3+ years because you just account manage and are "perceived" lazy. It's only going to get worse. The people forced out of their comfort zone and made to leave are the lucky ones. This place has turned into a joke.

Look everyone another genius who has all the answers at Cafepharma. Obviously this is where all the smart people go in their spare time after they've left Alcon and live much happier lives. Your credibility is boundless in this environment and we can't wait to follow your incredible advice. Now go get your shine box.

Bitter, are we? If you knew how to play the game you wouldn't be working behind a cash register and wearing a paper hat right now.

If you're comfortable with a mediocre compensation package and a soul sucking job you are right, stay right where you are. A shine box is better than what you are doing. It's certainly more dignified.
