Seem pretty quite. No big layoffs based on CP posts. However, I bet the axe is being honed for the former St. Jude employees. Must have some redundancies here.
There was a rumor a little while ago that Hematology was going to be hit, but no confirmation. It would be odd for Abbott to issue RIF orders that weren't in January or October. But by all accounts this is going to be an odd year.
You sound upset at Gonzalez how come ? FYI Obama and the Inversion laws/DOJ caused the failed Shire deal, which in turn led Abbvie to redirect to Pharmacyclics and Stemcentrx acquisitions. The YUGE 1.6 Billion Shire break up fee we lost has already been recovered from superior product line. Shire would have brought little to nothing to Abbvies plate and would have been a disaster. Gonzo took the $54B for failed Shire and grabbed Pharmacyclics for $21B and Stemcentrx for $10.2B. That leaves $23B for future deals. Rova-T is the next Blockbuster. Abbvie should grab TG Therapuetics (TGTX) for under $1B to have TG-1101 (ublituximab) which is part of a combination therapy that includes our Imbruvica. Your odds of layoffs and WARN are greater at Abbott than at Abbott lite ( abbvie ) Duncan and Karl under Whites direction, will cut SJM employees. You know the drill quite well RIGHT ? Get your facts straight.
Layoffs are a fact of life. Save your money...trust no one. Miles and Ricky will do what is best for themselves and Abbott/Abbvie. Get used to it. Move on when you find a better deal because in today's working world honor does not exist.
↑ And Miles' buddy Ricky, the lying bastard, cheats on his resume and is now making tens of millions at Abbie. RG screwed up trying to do an inversion and it cost Abbvie $1B to back out. Anyone else would have been fired for the lying or screw up. Hold on to your hats. Abbott bit off a big chunk getting St. Jude and when it all shakes out only the 1% wins because they take care of themselves. Most of us lose. BTW I am NOT a socialist....income inequality is just our of control. You sound upset at Gonzalez how come ?
