And your reply was a classic case of missing the forest due to the trees! You clearly understood the point. People like you deserve to remain in Amgen's miserable culture.

Looking for a change myself. Where are the best landing spots these days? I've been out of the job search game for a long time but have to do something.

Metrics from the 80's are consistant in the industry now. Loyalty is to shareholders. How is this outfit different than any other faceless big pharma/biotech?

Many left to get about $20 K more and big sign ons and stock. Amgen does not pay well compared to other biotech.

Amgen's raises are terrible. The annual TP ratings does not translate to more money. The performers are under appreciated, underpaid, used and abused. Make sure to check your worth on the job market and tell your manager to keep the BS he/she tries to sell you every year during the reviews.

FACT check Amgen! Call out the shit that comes from the manager's mouth.

Ask for the salary band. Ask for the average percent raise. Ask about the average stock grants. Ask for the lowest and highest dollar amount that is allocated to the team. Ask for the lowest and highest that was offered in stock. We ask our physicians fact finding questions all the time. You will be surprise on the facts that is withheld from you and the generalization of the conversation during these reviews.

You are allowed to ask for a raise that is reflective of your contribution.

I agree. 2 % raises and $3,500 in stock that is not worth anything for 3 years...Amgen is NOT competitive and they are losing people left and right!
