To the above poster : Be glad you only stayed a month. The word is that Dynasplint corporate monitors this forum, but if they are, they are still not getting a clue. There is NO good management there, in any department, because the criteria for being in management has nothing to do with ability, and managers have no ability to manage and solve day to day work issues without being disrespectful to the employees. This is why the turnover there is so high, and that is not likely to change.

    - COULNDT HAVE SAID IT BETTER! DYNASPLINT IS AN AMAZING COMPANY. UNFORTUNATELY THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE DONT WANT TO PUT IN THE WORK IT TAKES TO BUILD A SUCCESSFUL TERRITORY. THE ONES THAT DO- STAY!

Last poster, NOT true! Field sales reps have 86% turnover ratio within 6 months... Low pay, almost no car allowance, almost no lunch inservice budget, unattainable bonus structure, no corporate support except micro-management... Sounds like a company I would want to work for - NOT!

    Re: Dynasplint

Maybe you are the corporate "monitor" for this forum. If you aren't, then you sure been loading up on the Dynasplint kool-aid. And what you have said is unfair, and untrue. Dynasplint does not create an environment that fosters success, it fosters failure. The reps that move on don't do so because of laziness or inability to work, they do so because the expectations of Dynsaplint are unreasonable and unrealistic, and while there is a whole lot of nitpicking, there isn't any support; Dynasplint knows how to criticize and write people up; what they don't know how to do is create an atmosphere in which employees can succeed.

good product...bad company. no job is perfect but sales is sales. treat people with respect. since the money isnt there, at least there could be a positive attitude. after all isnt it about caring for patients? good starting point but dont get sucked in for too long. look at options.

I made a mistake and signed on the dotted line.
Man oh man do I wish I had read all of this sooner. Sure the unhappy people tend to be the loudest in this kind of situation, but there are so many of you. I have to believe there is a great deal of truth in what everyone is saying.
I should have known it was a bad company when I was pressured to in 24 hours, sign a contract that stated.
"In the event you choose to leave Dynasplint within the first 120 days of signing this agreement, you will be responsible for reimbursing Dynasplint for all training costs, totaling approximately $1,000."
I have never seen anything like that before, and it speaks greatly to their high turn over rate mentioned in this thread.
I signed the darn thing and now am considering gladly paying the money back to them rather than make a bad mistake. I am greatly concerned about the other posts floating in cyberspace about people being scammed with the insurance bait and switch. What company makes patients sign a payment agreement?

None of their products seem to be approved by the FDA. Is this because they are considered a low risk device, and it does not need approval?
Also, the company is not BBB accredited. What corporation does not pay the cost of BBB? Seems suspicious.

All of these posts speak volume about how Dynasplint really is. This is one of the worst medical companies in the industry!!

Here is a sad thing about Dynasplint : it's full of good people who are working hard every day to get their job done and earn a paycheck, and all kinds of pressure from their managers. There are lots of managers there, but NO leadership. The guy in the drivers seat ( not the owner) does not have a clue about how to lead people, so he rules by fear, and HR is non-existent other than to cover the corporate ***. An education does not make you a leader.

i would have to aggree with that. the managers lead by demand and fear. no motivation and no help. They have no clue how to manage as there as been no formal training. there is no leadership and enveryone at higher management decides what to do. if you are lucky enough to have a good manager, you may make some money but in all it is hard to make any bonuses and increase your salary. The company continues to get worse every year. I know other reps that only stay cause they cant find anything else yet. I am glad I was able to get out and as the load of stress has been lifted and my self worth has come back I feel appreciated and like a new person. Dynasplint is a great product but the company is an infant and all it does is cry. no one needs to be taken advantage of.

haha i think it is funny how people from corporate throw in their 2 cents! the thing is that most people with Dynasplint for any length of time are brainwashed. its like a breathe of fresh air when you leave....dont let them drag you down if you are a rep ans struggling. it is probably due to their unrealistic goals and lack of training...not your ultimate ability. Remember they hired YOU.

i am currently interviewing for a sales postition with Dynasplint. I was told the team was "new". Any body have any insight on this....i read a lot of post and am a little unsure about the company but need to break into medical field.

If you are trying to break into the medical field this isn't the company for you. Yes you'll get into the medical field but the future for you would be bleek. Recruiters, hiring managers look down upon a person who previously worked for Dynasplint. It would be better to break in with another company!

Break in with some other company; I can promise you that if you go with Dynasplint, you will be sorry. They are a terrible company to work for on SO many levels - read through these posts, every bit of it is true.

Just got out of their billing department; they are putting splints on nursing home patients, even though Medicare has told them not to and won't pay the claims. Ethical, really? So glad I don't work for them anymore. Lies, lies, lies.

I had an interview at their office is Severna Park. Really nice lobby and interview space, friendly ( but dumb) escort person, interviewer who thinks she's all that, and then they showed me where I would be working. Dirty, crummy looking office, really tiny, that I would share with someone. No windows and no ventilation and can smell the bathroom. So their interview space is amped but work areas are crummy? Classy.

That last post is funny. Dynasplint and classy don't go together at all.

The teams are always "new" even in previously established areas. Why? The turnover rate is 86% and not many people stay more than 1 year. Once a person gets hired at Dynasplint they continue to look and keep thier resume posted hoping to be rescued. Google "Dynasplint Sucks" and you'll be amazed how many links come up. The post come from Doctors, therapists, patients and previous and current employees. Pretty sad....

I was hired outside the company and this was a great job until you start seeing things a little clearer. I am still employed, but am currently looking because how things operate within this company. For everyone out there who knows people who work there to interested candidates, I have something for you to think about. Would a "Great Company" put its' sales team "last" and not give up a profit to ensure that reps are happy? If you are doing your job with all "excellent" remarks from your manager, but are told that it's the last 1% that will count to get a bump in pay? If you sign on with this company, you will spend more paying for gas if you have a large territory and they will do nothing about it. You might start at 35 to 45k, but you will stay there until you meet a "magic" number that they formulate on a company-wide scale as far as averages are applied. You will only meet this number to keep your job or get a pay increase if: you have a good territory or a large territory with lots of accounts to call on, you live in an area with "good" insurance coverage, and you start in a territory that hasn't had lots of turnover due to an irresponsible rep that was previously fired and pissed off lots of doctors and therapists. On top of that, depending on the manager and division you work in, some managers are hard core on micromanaging! You will have to type up detailed conversations at accounts and your manager has full access to your tablet and they can check/call accounts to see if you are really doing your job. I don't know about anyone else in medical sales, but since they hired you and you passed through their interview process and completed their trainings, and then the manager rides along with you in your territory for the first week or two, wouldn't you think they would trust you? I have accounts that said I am the best rep ever to come through my territory in the last 20 yrs and my customer service is exemplary, however, my "numbers" are not what Dynasplint wants them to be, even though my territory is increased on avg by 300% from my start of employment til now. HMmmmmmm? I am actually up for probation/termination/salary reduction, but am only missing my numbers by 3 per month on avg. I understand medical sales is tough, however, when you are told, "it's takes 2 or 3 yrs to build up your business" but they will fire you within your first 6 months to a year, that is pretty lame! This company should take better care of its' sales force and maybe people would stay longer, which in turn would allow more time to build business relationships with accounts! They are actually making cuts right now as I type, in Sales Support office, discontinuing night shift manufacturing operations, ect. You think this company is losing money? All my money down on a bet says, YES! DO NOT WORK FOR THEM, chances are, you will be sorry, especially with an 86% turnover rate! Just play the damn lottery and you will win something big before you succeed with them.
