Axogen

Company is a joke. Still losing tons of money year after year. Board does nothing.

E-board needs to stop stuffing their pockets. BH, SM, JS, all the ex Stryker reps go out. Oh hey GF - did you cash out your options yet? Keep pumping that shi* - glad I cashed out my options couple years when hit $50..Speculation! Yeah that’s the game!

Might buy more at these levels bc there’s one thing they’re good at: jack up AXGN! It’s a pump and dump game. Love the expansion to Tampa - come a long way from Progress Avenue in AlachuWAY. Let’s keep playing and making me money!!

Tough to calculate bc they have 20 distributors along with 51 direct reps. Generally speaking...Avance sales make up approx. 65% of total revenue. Let's say direct reps were responsible for $33mil in sales out of the $41mil in total sales for 2016. Looking at the $33mil sales breakdown...$19mil is Avance sales and $14mil is Axoguard sales. $19mil/51 direct reps= $372k Avance sales/rep and $274k/Axoguard sales/rep. In conclusion, direct reps average about $650k in total sales. Key expenses that are causing Axogen to lose money are prof education courses, high rep turnover, shipping expenses (avance has to ship on dry ice in heavy coolers) and high officer pay.

Lol the professional education courses cost ~$1MM / year but return "80% growth in key accts" whatever TF that means :D

i still remember the expansion to the 'new' office these fuckers love to sell you the dream but, hey, if it keeps making me money on the stock price then why tf would you complain :D

I have an inside contact at axogen, and heres the latest.
  1. There have been multiple infections reported with the new HA+ product, but reps are being told to blame it on the surgeons instead of addressing it directly.
  2. The Avive product has had issues too—its layers reportedly come apart, and small particles have been found in the final product, which then has to be discarded.
  3. Leadership seems to be top-heavy, with several hires from Karen’s DEI initiatives, like Doris, Devin, Stacey, and Anne T., taking on executive roles. Unfortunately, many feel they lack the experience and credentials for these positions, which has affected the company’s direction.
  4. Doris, in particular, has caused frustration among the reps. They feel she handled the new comp plan poorly, treats them condescendingly, and has a concerningly flirtatious relationship with younger male reps, especially her direct report, Matt.
  5. And then, there’s been talk for years about unaddressed relationships between women on the profed team and certain surgeons. People say Alyson was seen with Dr. Kyle Eberlin, and Sara with Dr. Frasier Leversedge, but it’s been ignored—likely due to these surgeons’ influence.
It’s disappointing to hear about these issues, especially with how much they could be impacting the team and the company's credibility
