I'm thinking about interviewing for one of the open MS positions. What's the Good, The Bad and The Ugly with the MS division?

if you are out of work or desperate then go ahead. if you have a decent job stay where you are. the goals are outrageous, the bonuses are shitty bc goals are outrageous. the data for units sold is iffy at best especially since they decided to “back out bridge” ….ah ok…. and switch to iquvia. culture is toxic you are only as good as your last start form. metric tracking is suffocating. 2 day field rides with your abl are monthly. tiny territories that bring in no volume benefit from the ic plan whereas large revenue generators don’t. and oh you’ll drive a lemon Tesla that will stop taking a charge and leave you stranded in your territory.

I am cracking up with this response. I am in another division and since we have started using Iqvia we are missing so much volume which is channeled to other territories because of lack of reporting at the physician level. I always thought MS was the place to be but it seems nowhere these days is really great at Novartis. And the Tesla comment is spot on!

Are you sure you aren’t in CRM?! I could have written that.

A big NO for the MS division. We are now a primary care salesforce with all these metrics. Bonus sucks and managers are riding with you every 3-4 weeks for 2 days. The culture is horrible and layoffs every 2 years. Look elsewhere.

Your cardiac division seems to be in the midst of a national expansion.

But we have our "Swagger" back in the MS Division!!!

ha ha ha! That’s funny. Not an expansion but openings due to everyone leaving because it’s so miserable

There are massive open CV territories posted across the entire country.

I sell Ocrevus and get to see your numbers in my territory and nationally. Looks like the only "Swagger" you may have is a bottle of Old Spice "Swagger" laying around in your bathroom shower somewhere.

Haha! I got a super large bottle in my shower!

Can’t wait to hear what they have to say in July. Do more with less? Got rid of some FRM ‘s. shifted TLL’s. and got of two. sub Q ocre launching September. TG gets the VA first line. All I see are cuts here with no strategy. but yet we’re supposed to do 3.4 billion this year? morale at all time low. Bonuses are awful. We get treated like we’re primary care reps and are being metric -ed to death. But don’t worry, you got a laptop, and company phone. We’re doubling down on AI. Did I miss anything?

I’m sorry to say this but glad to see other divisions feeling micro managed to death and bonuses are shit. It seems the only divisions that are worth being in are the rare disease and RLT. Am I wrong on this?

Is there another meeting in July?

Yeah they are doing on July 4th. Because they don't care about the reps.

I need to hear more about the MS division because I'm interviewing now. 2-3 day field rides each month? I'm subjected to needless metrics currently but at least the field rides are once a quarter. How is the West area?

Unless you need a job I would run. Yes field rides are 2-3 days every 3-4 weeks. Plus the metrics is a huge part of the job. Don't even ask about our meetings.
