Any Legit Layoff Updates?

Does anyone have any inside info on layoffs. The rumor mill is churning.

If this were the case, don't you think they'd enact a hiring freeze? October is only 6 weeks away and we're still hiring. I call bull.

Very true. Finance is ready with the next round of cuts. The original timing is announcement in Oct with people gone by the end of the calendar year. However, it may get pushed to after the holidays and the dumping will start in Jan (and people gone by the end of the FY).

 

Any idea of headcount after the changes? Or what the re-org will look like?

 

how can anyone be surprised by this. It's been the same routine for years at DSI. I've lost count how many layoffs we've had over the past 5-6 years.

 

Don't worry, the money we saved on walls in the new home office complex will carry us through the narrows, and lay off Rob, too many of you are laying on him. KK

I have to scratch my head on this as well. If a reduction in headcount is coming, then why continue to hire? They did this last year and it was one of the dumbest things a company could do. To make the same boneheaded move two years in a row is absurd.

 

Why wouldn't they make the same mistake twice. These people are some of the stupidest people in the industry. If everyone is not preparing for October layoff you are an idiot.

Going from 600 rep force to 400, with territory expansions across the board. Most likely January timeframe, but possibly earlier. Confirmed in house and with management

Heard 250 reps gone and home office cut again. Rds to be cut in half. Timing not certain yet but will happen in the fall, if you have something else offered to you take it. Going to be better than what's going on here or in the future.
