Finally our leadership sees the reality that robotics is the future. How long before we can get rosa doing total joints to compete with mako, bluebelt and think surgical!!????

That robot is brain/spine only and has a lot of bugs. Unless Zimmer dumps some serious money into the platform, joints are light years away.

think surgical is also a ways off, and mako Tka must have its issues too or it would have launched already. Not going to happen in the next 5 years for ZB and joints.

Oh it happened but the system is terrible compared to Mako. Our leaders are idiots.

The system is awful for total knees and it’ll be hard to just give them away much less sell them. Mako is a much better system.

    ZB is a year away
No clue about robotics Talking an open platform which is stupid seeing syk increase in tka w mako
    Depuy will hit before them

ZB has already hit. Stryker has patent lockdown for now though so it’s a robot with a cutting block attached. Pin the block and make the cuts like normal. Not precise, not really robotic surgery, just normal blocks with a robot telling you where to put them.

Smith and Nephews system just got put in 1 of my facilities. Surgeons tried Strykers Mako as well and Smith Nephews robot ended up getting the spot. Southwest USA. No lies.

I’ve seen a few Smith & Nephew robots in our area too. I guess the biggest difference is their system doesn’t require a scan. Better or worse is debatable but no scan means costs are reduced.

All about Costs here. Mako's are WAY to expensive for no reason. Smith Nephew getting lots of units based off price alone. We can't let Rosa Spine option inflate the price.

Anyone have any real insight on how the robot is coming along? How have the cases overseas gone

Robotic pricing is not as much of an issue as without sufficient training surgeons are botching surgeries. To be safe robotics should be slowly and not be a big revenue generator.

So I just wasted 2 hours watching the Rosa TKA surgical broadcast from Australia.

What a clusterfuck that looked like....I sure hope we aren't going to use that to promote against Mako.

Clearly clueless. All about Costs? how are Makos more expensive? from the accounts In my area, they are billing for these scans and making $$$$

Lol. Insurance has stopped paying for CT scans in many areas for mako. 1 million dollar Mako..... LOL
