Does anyone know if I need to be employed by Merck on the day of SIP payout, or just worked through the entirety of Q1 & Q2? I want to leave prior to September, but don't want to walk away from payout. Thanks!
If bonus is for Jan thru June timeframe, then you should be paid if you worked through month of June.
The bonus is Not a Guarantee! Mandatory payment is not a policy. The bonus can be denied upon cause which in my opinion would suite the vast majority of the soon to be fired.
R&R website has it in the terms and conditions of SIP. To receive SIP you must be an active employee in June 30th for a 1s payout (paid in sept/OCt) and dec 31 for a 2s payout (paid in March of following year).
