Geezus it's the same freaking type of post every freaking week. Here's a serious answer, who gives a shit!!!!! Just do your job. If you don't like it, GET OUT!!!! If you do like it, well good for you. But if your tiny brain does need an answer because you're too stupid to figure it out yourself......just go back and read the many threads that have discussed this.....you mushmouth.
Almost three years of patent left and the entire sales force is staying on the brand to the end. Heard this directly from two very senior people last week. Plenty of reasons why the company wants to keep this sales force not the least of which is the pipeline as well as the fact we make them a big $$.
My opinion? We have jobs as long as Latuda is growing, or at the least flat. Any serious decline in sales (can you say 2 new competitors and worsening managed care?) and we'll go the way of Lunesta. Cut one year before LOE. No way the new drug will be ready for launch before Latuda loses patent. Last time we saw those NSM slides, dasotraline would be ready for launch June 2019.
I heard those same 2 senior people say the same thing, sadly for us those 2 were Courtney and T Ford.
I think about a year until major slashing of latuda sales team. Let's look at the history of the major reductions for other Sunovion/Sepracor products, shall we. Lunesta: every single sales rep fired 13 before patent expiration. Summit Team: every single on of them let go 9 days before Christmas and over a year before patent expiration. Zetonna: well you all know that story. Getting rid of all except about 35 who had to stay on for an additional 4 months to fulfill our liscensing agreement and they were told if they didn't they wouldn't get their severance. So, I'd say about a year until massive layoffs for latuda. BTW, very senior people kept saying the entire sales force will be staying for Lunesta, Summit Team and Zetonna. Not the least of the reason being our bright pipeline. Ha Ha HA!! Drink some more kool aid you moron.
lol-- so must hostility to a simple question. I think it is a great one. For anyone who has been through a layoff, it is much easier to find a job when you HAVE a job, so it is a GREAT idea to plan ahead. I wouldn't get nervous for about another 6-9 months.. if by then no new product for Latuda folks, I would start putting the feelers out. Until then just work hard.
