It is a shame that people are trying to rip apart the great company that Valeant is. Michael Pearson just wanted to make everyone money. Just because everyone hates rich people doesnt mean that people have to make accusations that cannot be backed up. Nobody was saying anything when everyone was making hand over fist in gains on the stock. Everyone on this board needs to get a fucking life and leave Mr Pearson alone. He will still be very rich regardless of what happens.

That's right. Because everyone knows that GREED is GOOD! Everything else is secondary...

...like ethics, concern for your fellow man, concern for your customers/patients, etc.

And concern for the thousands of employees you laid off with great pride.

Those people were all apart of failing companies that were in decline. Michael had to cut dead weight from them, just like every major company does. He just did it all at once. Completely ethical and honest.

Novartis is shopping Alcons lens care business. Maybe plug holes with that. Of course you would roll up even more debt to pay for anything. That way when everyone is selling daily disposables you can sell more lens care. Cross promotions between BL and Sprout.

So every company that Mike Pearson buys is a "failing company that is in decline" until MP buys it (and often pays a substantial premium to market to buy it). I buy that.

Then MP trumpets it in a conference call talking about synergies and organic growth, and how everything Valeant buys has a 20% IRR. I buy that too. Because it's Mike, he can get 20% IRR from a "failing company in decline."

    I'm a muppet.

    Next?

The stock will go back up. I think everyone on this board are just miserable haters that are just jealous of how rich everyone us at the top. Guess what's if you don't like working for valeant. Then go work somewhere else. No one is forcing anyone to stay. We don't need ya all anyways.

This was about corporate dominance. Not about any individual.

Mikey will still be a rich piece of filth, Valeant will still be a sham accounting roll-up, and you'll still be an illiterate cretinous dick. Just read the board here, Goober, if you think "Nobody was saying anything when everyone was making hand over fist". Mikey has been despised for many, many years (likely since he was old enough to speak) irrespective of stock price.

OK. I take that back. It clearly doesn't take much to light up some people. It's pretty embarrassing really.

Enough of the negativity. I'm sure Michael will make it back and recover from his pneumonia. We need a leader like him to continue on with valeant to bring things back to the way that they were. Thankfully Howard is still here to hold everything together until Michael returns.

How dare everyone. There really is no legitimate reason to be so disrespectful to someone who is suffering in the hospital with pneumonia. What is being said is shameful.

Come on you have to be kidding me, pneumonia doesn’t last this long. If he had pneumonia he must have had some other complications, who knows could have even had a stroke. With all that has gone on this past year the company didn’t want to announce more bad news, so they bought themselves time with this whole pneumonia story. After all anyone that knows Valeant knows that it’s all about having a good story.

Everyone knows that Pearson has no camera appeal. My take is that Valeant got nervous about having him testify and took advantage of this pneumonia event to keep him away from Congress. Watch his doctor release him from disability right after Schiller testifies. My wager is seven to ten days after the testimony IF there is no indication of having to go back to Congress.
