I don't feel for all these reps who still believe that everything is going to turn out roses here at Noven. Some people just can't see the truth even when it hits them in the nose, and I just think you have to shut them out. Unfortunately, it's going to take the 60 day separation letter from Noven that you'll get after the holidays to make some of them come to their senses. Then, and "maybe then" these idiots will figure out there is no future here. But there will be those "special" few who will get on here when the layoff happens complaining that they never thought it would come to this and "how could they do this to us!" Morons!

Business as usual. Let's just pretend the conference call never happened.

It's not business as usual. It's more brutal everyday to go to work. And yes, I am earnestly looking for other opportunities. Docs are fed up with the charade.

Docs really are being squeezed to be more efficient, and to do their best to prevent the very things that they used to look forward to, for the sake of added revenue: hospitalizations, disease complications, lots and lots of tests. If you have any real friends, ask them if what I say is true. The great majority of them do not want their children going into the field. Its getting uglier and uglier for them, and will be worse for us in another year or two.

I hate to say it, but a small downsizing is probably inevitable. I'm looking, too. better safe than sorry!

You missed the sarcasm. 80% of my work time is searching job boards, sending out resume, networking. I'm probably being too generous giving this shit-hole 20% of my time.

I am reporting you to your manager. Oh wait, he is doing the same thing since he is being let go as well. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I need my meds for the day.

I will continue to give 110% effort so that Noven can continue to work toward it's future goal of being a world class organization that will be ready to launch the next blockbuster....Bhahahahah.

I feel sorry for you all..... I totally believe that sales force did all that they could to sell non-sense drugs. It was Product Development's fault to even launch Brisdelle and people from Clin Ops or Regulatory should have been the ones leaving....... Brisdelle was a bad decision.......people at my level knew it..... I dont know how people at CMO level didnt see it!!!! Good luck to you all....

There is no such thing as a nonsense drug. Brisdelle was approved by the FDA. The drug works. The issue is that certain people chose to not support this drug through a series of blunders. People sabotaged themselves by not learning about this drug's true potential. Did you see the ad? No company would display a nationally televised as for a product that does not work. I think some serious soul searching needs to go on. A tough honest look in the mirror to see what part k e played in letting this drug not meet its full potential.

Of course it works....so does generic paroxitine. Transdermal estrogen also works, but the "brain" trust walked away from it. This company fell apart because of decisions at the top--plain, simple, and no question about it.

You're right poster. I looked in the mirror and did some serious soul searching. It was my fault I didn't learn Brisdelle's full potential. I guess I was too busy trying to explain to my drs why Brisdelle was being switched at the pharmacy every time, why most insurances required a failure on generic Paxil or Effexor first, why we raised the price twice, and why we got rid of the $25 cash price card. I also should have hid in the exam rooms so I could sell the 75% patients who choose not to treat their hot flashes because they really don't want to take a prescription med, ESPECIALLY not a SSRI. I will take the blame. I guess I will take the next couple months and work extra hard to grow Brisdelle and maybe Santa Claus will give us a Christmas miracle and let us all continue to sell this amazing drug for a new company next year!!!

What a joke. The only reason this drug failed is because it is not relevant in the market place. Hormones will always be first choice and non hormones will always play second fiddle. Plus, the data shows this drug basically stops working after a period of time. Ask any prescriber how often they heard Brisdelle just stop working and the answer would a lot. Yes, Brisdelle has a place just not as a lead product. And that ad on TV sure showed us and the entire market place where Brisdelle could win...pretty much no where. 3,000 RX's a week does not make a block buster drug. Let the next company have this "block buster".

Any of the 100 or so reps could have told Noven that this drug was just an add-on to the portfolio of great drugs. And to give up Minivelle for this!!! If they had not spent 100K+ on advertising and all the other worthless junk they gave us and just let the reps sell it as nice addition to the portfolio Brisdelle would not be where it is today .. No where. Time has proven that the studies were in fact correct. Brisdelle only works half the time, in half the patient population and stops working soon after. There is a reason patients try it and never refill it. It's not worth the cost nor the little relief it gives.

I've seen a lot of amazingly stupid posts on CafePharma, but this one takes the cake. To think someone could be this out of touch is incredible. I'm guessing this person still thinks there's some chance Noven will keep him/her if their Brisdelle numbers grow through year end??? It is unbelievable but some really think that will happen!!! I have no pity for you. You truly are nothing more than a rat being led to the river by the sounds of the Pied Piper!

No one wants Brisdelle and NO ONE ever did! The decision makers at the time saw a 90% + market that did not use hormones and were of menopause age. They saw dollars instead of researching the real WHY question. Why are only 7-8% of menopausal women taking estrogen??? Once you understand the question and investigate the answers it becomes quite clear. A huge percentage don't take anything and manage through menopause with little to no issues. Another part use all natural products. The women who won't take estrogen don't want to take anything. And finally, so many women are already on an SSRI or SNRI, adding more is dangerous and unethical.

Brisdelle had no business being approved by the FDA, but some people with power forced the FDA to approve something, ANYTHING, non-hormonal for menopausal women!
Look, there are name brand products that are needed out there. This just isn't one of them!
