Our district took a poll yesterday as to who would stay and who would leave after Jan, 2016. Located in SE, we have 8 reps in district with 3 unfilled open territories. Averaga tenure is 6+ years with DSI. Of the 8, only 2 said they wanted to stay. Of the other 6, 3 have already been on interviews since the 1st of Sept. The other 3 are networking and have updated their resumes. Only 1 of the 6 (most tenured with 15 years) said she is staying through Jan/March, 2016 for severance and probably retiring although she has updated resume and will search for something good, probably outside of this industry. I have 10 years with DSI. I am updating my resume and networking. If I can get something I can live with prior to 2016 I'm not waiting for the severance. I'm single and don't want to take the chance if I have another opportunity because I don't know how long it will take to get another job. I'm sticking with pharma/biotech short term until I figure out what I want to be when I grow up lol! I'll dance with the devil I know a little while longer until I figure it out.
