stop GPS tracking signals by simply plugging this into any cigarette lighter or vehicle power outlet. With up to 10 meter coverage, it will protect you from being logged...

Then we won't get our crappy mileage reimbursement, which doesn't cover your costs anyways. And we would have to spend our entire $119 Q2 commission to buy the thing.

The government mileage rate is 2-3X our reimbursement. Has anyone evaluated the cost/benefit of claiming mileage on taxes instead of doing their plan?

Do both. Claim the difference. Government rate minus whatever the plan has paid you, equals the amount you can claim. Ridiculous that they don't even pay enough to match the gov rate.

Zero oversight and burning through expenses? Are you kidding me? No one even wants that ! How about a mutually respectful relationship between employee/employer ? Being paid a fair wage for a day's work ? A minimally competitive comp plan ? Just when did that become too much to ask ? Jeez

So I was talking to an attorney friend today and she is telling me they have to offer a opt out program to the mileage program. If I take the opt out option I would make $1300 more this year than KCI paid me last year by just claiming it on my takes and no big brother! Sign me up!

    You are such an idiot.

First, great salespeople don't put up with this shit. They will leave for better companies that treat them like adults.

Second, the focus should be on the customer, not micromanaging the salesforce to see if they are working.

Only the bottom line should matter, not how many boxes you check.

Finally, the culture of distrust leads to negative thinking and demoralizes the team.

You just don't get it, because you are probably very young and naive. Its not your fault you are an idiot at this point in your life. When you get older, you will understand.

Sorry for calling you an idiot, but I can't think on of any other way to describe the mindset of people like you.

We are making a $500,000 investment in you and raising your fixed rate on mileage. Oh by the way (3 weeks later); we are now going to track you and get that money back....

Remember, it's mandatory, it's due to compliance with the IRS. Unless, you are with Lifecell. I guess they don't get audited.

Exactly. Only mandatory IRS item is that the rep keep a detailed mileage log, nothing to do with the company. And the other explanation is to save rep administration time and busy work. But I have to log on and submit my mileage tracking reports still and log onto the website twice a week to check accuracy, instead of just one time at the end of the month to put in my miles. Such BS, enough with the lies.

GPS tracking is an all time low for this company. Treat your reps like little kids, and you'll get little kids. How about treating us like professionals for once? And if you're going to send out a Q&A with a list of other companies that use GPS trackers, try putting more than 2 medical device companies on that list, or even some companies that people respect, not a bunch on no-name 3rd rate companies. Shame on you KCI.

Just another "cost saving" idea from the consultants that KCI spends hundreds of thousands on at the expense of the employees. Other good companies don't treat their employees this way and executive management doesn't either. Shows you exactly what this company is about. Certainly not Make Better.

Next, the company will require a gps chip embedded into your subcutaneous

You know when companies propose stupid things like this, there is a recourse. How much crap are you guys going to take before you stand up? Want a voice? Want respect? Want to be treated like adults? Don't wait for management to create the culture! Force the culture! Have balls start a UNION! It only takes a few to get the ball rolling. Or you can just come onto this sight and complain! Your future your choice.

Everyone...I have been contacted by a recruiter regarding a KCI position. Judging by this thread its prolly not a great gig and I have 3 years experience in OR vascular sales, but a serious question I have is....do you really have cell phones with GPS tracking in them?
