Heard that the contract between Lundbeck and Otsuka will soon be dissolved, as of 7/1/15. True or false?

OMG THAT would be fabulous!! A little late for Lundbeck since so many great Alpha reps have already left.

Aplha reps would then lose AM to sell. Why would that be fabulous?

Not true. We are stuck wtih them. Due to Otsuka, we are now Big Pharma.

True - The Avonair purchase has competing products and presents a conflict.

That makes sense why Otsuka is already in home study for brex and we have not hired yet.

We are just stalling to make an announcement.

Does that mean several of us will loose our jobs. We really do not have a pipeline it is Otsuka's.

I heard Neuro reps are worried they may loose there jobs soon to due to Xenazine patient up in 3 months and now this with Pych.

How many will be left by winter. I am guessing 250 reps.

The cellphone thing shows they will never be honest with us.

We have NO pipeline. Didn't know that Xenazine loses it's patent in 3 months! This is not good. Not good at all. Glad I have dusted off the old resume and started the process of leaving. Brex will face the same problems Brintellx does, and maybe worse. Layoffs have got to be ahead. So much for our different future.

Lundbeck has a contract for Maintena and Brexpiprazole and the future Alzheimer's drugs, all with Otsuka. As JA said from the start these partnerships extend out into the 2020s so we should adapt to having partners. Speculation on dissolving all the partnerships on all the drugs?
Where did you hear the rumors or are you making a deduction based on some rumors and grapevine talk? It would be nice to have a heads up if they are gonna lay off a division instead of hire another division.

the only way that would be a conflict would be if Otsuka had a CNS drug similar to Avanirs and then one would be divested. Partnerships are common and that is why there are divisions such as psych and neurology to avoid conflicts. The Otsuka reps will do a soft launch with PI for Brexpiprazole and Lundbeck will launch with Vis aid after launch meeting.

You only get one chance to launch a drug. If this is truly a partnership, you launch at the same time, the same way (whatever that is). Something is fishy

Brexpiprazole is Otsukas drug just like Maintena. If Otsuka wants to come out of the gate first with the PI in an unofficial soft launch its there party. At the official launch meeting I guess both companies and all involved in the launch would go to Orlando for the big production and hype of a Pharma launch.
Lundbeck has sold their souls to the devil with Otsuka leading U.S leading U.S. by the nose. We have already sold Otsuka a huge portion of our Alzheimer's drug just like Takeda got the lions share and control of Brintellix.
We are providing a percentage of the sales and a # of details. For that Lundbeck gets a nice pile of cash upfront and kickers along the way. That's why Lundbeck buys the lowest level of data from IMS. It does not profit Lundbeck to pay their AMs big salaries and big IC checks. That comes out of their lump sum payments each year so it pays Lundbeck to short the AMs and keep their cash for upper management bonuses etc.

Except our launch meeting isn't in Orlando and it is Lundbeck only.

Chicago would be horrible, but not as bad as CA. Orlando would be good.
