Stop bashing the sales force. Maybe the drug is one that should not have been brought to market. Ever think of that? Most physicians are not stupid. They know Aptiom metabolizes into oxcarb. They know the only advantage we have over carb and oxcarb xr is we are once daily and truly once daily so we can be chewed or crushed. Is that worth $20 a pill. So far the physicians sure don't think so. Now factor in the counter detailing going on by the competition showing we have no real benefit over a generic or extended release generic and that is what is happening here. I've had a doctor tell me that coming out with Aptiom is a move that gives the pharmaceutical industry a bad name.

I give it 8 months until sales force is gone and this dog is promoted by contract sales force or though non personal promotion.

A true once a day? Are you serious? Do you believe everything marketing tells you? What we have is a weaker, less efficacious immediate release oxcarb tablet that peaks in 1 hour post dose. Have you seen the data for all 3 trials or do you just look at the maintenance data from one dose of one trial that they put in our material? The efficacy data is terrible. Every single product we compete with has better seizure reduction. I don't know about yours, but my docs aren't dumb.
