Welcome to the Barr Laboratories company board. Anyone is welcome to post here, whether they are an employee of the company or not. You may post anonymously without registering (registered users please logout before posting if you wish to do so), or with a registered username.

Managers and reps are encouraged to communicate with fellow employees here. If you are interested, we can also provide you with a private, password-protected board for your pod, district, etc. Just email webmaster@cafepharma.com for the details.

Hey out there...I've done some research on Barr & it seems like a good place for a career...good pipeline, small environment, I would love to work here. I have an interview for a sales rep. position later this week and am looking for pointers...what does Barr look for in a sales rep.? Thanks for your input!

Signed, a future Barr employee (hopefully) :)

Welcome to Barr Labs/Duramed! Now bend over and grab you ankles!

I am a former Durasuck Rep and I learned my lesson when FEI came on board and the management gave their Reps promotions without even as much as an interview. They created a BS position called ISR and gave them more money then tenured reps. NO COMPETITION, just gave the F'ing promotions away and I left and went to a PROFESSIONAL company that treats employees with respect. And I am very happy. Every oince in awhile I check in on cafepharma to see the goings on here and things just go from BAD to WORSE! Management is worse, bonue chjecks are worse, DM's and ABDs are worse. If you work there, to quote the catch pharase from the movie Amityville Horror: GET THE HELL OUT! If you are looking for employment there, go to McDonalds instead. At least they have a career ladder!

With such an unhappy place - why would anyone want to ingest drugs made by this company? I just picked up my first prescription from BARR and am wondering if I should even take the drugs? It has me concerned.

The drugs are "O.K." its the Management and the large quantity of "unqualified" individuals who run the place. They promote incompetence because it will no threaten their position but when they run into "highly qualified, tenured individuals", they shy away to say the least. Most are harassed and pushed away. Many are fired or allowed to resign. Unfortunately this is a group of insecure, unprepared, inexperienced individuals who has never worked in a "Real" pharmaceutical company and they run their District, Region and company like their won little business, protecting their turf at every turn and playing games along the way. Outstanding and accomplishments representatives need not apply! So if you are considering working for this outfit "you been warned"! I left a year ago and couldn't be happier.

Barr is now Teva. It is not a good environment at all. The managers are taught by ABD's to treat reps like dirt, while expecting top performance, while commissions got cut by 60-70 % in 2010. 125 reps layed off,in October. All ISR's layed off, and Dallas DM now selling Paragard for 4 states. Ex- Teva President now with Watson took Seasonique Generic, causing recent layoff.

Teva reps only have obsolete Abbott contract drugs to sell. Watch out when this contract expires. More layoff"s. ??.Oh yea- your quarterly commission now is $1,500 draw, until year is over.Israel stockholders are enjoying your commissions dollars. Do not take a job there, uless you want to work for no commissions, until the end of the year, at 60 % less than 2010.
