Vascepa, almost impossible to sell... The value proposition just isn't there.

It assumes doc's doesn't have the slightest clue about omega-3. Can't really use the LDL "argument" to docs, because then all trust will be gone from the start.

-"So I have this "new" product called Vascepa..

So what is it?

-Icosapent Ethyl..

What?

-Well, it is just another name for EPA in ethyl ester form, in over 96 percent concentration..

So, that is about half of Lovaza, what about the DHA that are a major part of Lovaza and the supplements I recommend to my patients and that is vital for HDL increase and bla, bla, bla..

And the only thing you can really bring up is the "LDL" thing...

And then the trust is already gone.

People are just not that stupid, anyone really thinks, "why would anyone fly around selling this just one (frankly speaking) "me too" product"?

Hopeless situation right from the beginning and it's not the reps fault.

Thanks for a well informed post.

No way you are an Amarin hire!

I'm hoping the Lovaza Rep talked about big, fluffy buoyant LDL particles. Thanks for teeing that one up for me. Now get the F out of the way because I'm playing through. FORE!!!

I think the OP doesn't know jack about this industry. It is my job to differentiate the products and if I can't do that then I shouldn't be here. Many reps have sold dog products over a better one because they knew how to sell.

You probably don't work here (or shouldn't work here) as any knowledgable person would tell you that you can only promote the product based on the labelled claim. Based on your post, you have other intentions based on your desire to "differentiate".

Now tell us again as to who doesn't know jack about this industry.
