Terrible meeting

As far as KK she's and intelligent/ attractive woman and that unfortunately makes small minded chauvinistic men hate her and women jealous of her....
Right there my friends is proof at how self-absorbed and narcissistic this person is. Seriously, google it and tell me if this leader is not a text book case.

The person who replied "get a life" is very accurate.

I actually think it was a great meeting..
The break out sessions were repetitive but the overall meeting focus was for Shire as a company. Where we are and where we are going and that part of the meeting was inspiring..

I have been in pharma ~ 8 years and this meeting was pretty good. Kathy was nice to meet and she has her act together. Trust me, I have seen other managers that are total dweebs. Kathy impressed me with her knowledge and her commitment to success. Overall good job, Shire Eye.

Was with Pfizer and Merck for 9+ years and have been with Shire for 2+. Meeting was not perfect but was probably the best overall pharma meeting I have ever attended. Shire appreciates its employees. A few general sessions (panels, etc) were long and seemed to exist solely to give VPs some face-time. Overall, meeting was a 9/10.

Merck? All cedibility lost. KK disciple. Everything she does is recycled from Merck.

Best part of these meetings is the chance to meet folks and just talk about pharma, Shire, best practices, etc. over a couple of drinks. I found the meeting to be very comfortable with friendly folks from HQ and the Field. I give this meeting a 8/10.

Truth. The meeting was "okay" not nearly as good as Miami, Phoenix and other previous Shire meetings. However, for having over 1200 prople, it ran well. The buffer food was very poor. I ended up in the bathroom several nights but that's the hotels issue not the the meeting.

I would have to agree. I got sick a few times from the food, the meeting ran well but I felt like we had no down time. It was exhausting to travel all day Saturday, work Sunday and then all week. It would have been nice to have a night free to just chill. The sessions I will agree were very repetitive, and that detail lol omg that detail!
All this talk about KK I didn't know her before so idk, she seems nice but I agree with the patronizing tone in her comments. She seems a little untrustworthy and micro.
I did hear that some people have an "office day" today, enjoy that wish I got one.

I am careful when eating at a buffet. One needs to avoid certain foods regardless of the restaurant. Overall the meeting was a solid 7 out of 10. I didn't know KK before but she was approachable and nice during the cocktail hour. I am pretty pumped regarding our future!

She is very approachable. Mostly because she keeps track of who comes up to her and who doesn't. If you ignore her and just do your job it's not enough. She has discussed people in talent review meetings and noted who comes up to her and who doesn't.

She also counts heads at dinners she attends and actually tracks that in an "aggregate number of interactions". No BS, this is true. She is comsumed with people paying her compliments and when she gets an email from a rep complimenting her or her meeting she forwards it out to people. Probably even posts it on her fridge!

Like anyone would email her with a critique! Oh yeah, thats what this site is for.

I worked for Kathy at Merck and am totally dismayed by the negativity of probably one poster. I am happy to be back working with her at Shire. She is a no-nonsense, performance-driven leader. However, she does have a good heart. My advice is to do your job and do it well - - - reason we have a job and pay! So I say to the negative troll - - - go get a life!

So based on your history you wouldn't even know any different?

I have to agree. It seriously appears to be one or two people who are posting the "KK" comments. I am assuming it is people who were cut and blame her instead of looking at their own shortcomings and lack of work ethic.
I heard a rep at the meeting refer to her as KK and quote exactly what had been posted here hours earlier. I have heard him complain about her several times. Probably know the culprit. He is very immature. I can see him posting here excessively. I don't know her, so I cannot comment on how what kind of person she is or isn't. She has been VERY successful in her career. Many women who are successful are viewed as being B*tchy, especially by men (some men)

If you "don't know her and can't comment on what kind of person she is or isn't" then you should shut up and stand aside. I do know her and can comment exactly what kind of person she is and the plethora of posts here calling her out are justified, trust me.

She has a warm heart? You should ask the people from Chesterbrook that she knocked heads with how warm her heart is. Or better yet, ask the admins that she worked like dogs and drove to tears. I'm sure they'll have a different opinion on how warm her heart is.

I also don't know KK personally. I, however, am observant to what she has left behind in her wake. She has robbed us of our morale, ran neuro into the ground, ran good people out of a once-great company and promoted HR-risks (like herself) to corporate! And now they're PC winners! Nice going, KK.
