TEI buyout

Tough to say at this point. My guess is they will split the sales force allowing for a regenerative division focusing on only tissue products and an ortho side for the hardware. Also with the DFU study we should have dropped decades ago for reimbursement bedside in the clinic, it def seems to be heading in that direction. Recent issues with a new comp plan has left seasoned and tenured reps making less money; and new reps low base pay, low upside without tenure equaling overall low morale. Integra is notorious for buying companies that aren't exactly mind blowing (no offense TEI) to compliment our bag. Integra needs to decide where they fit into the marketplace. Our hardware is nothing but 'me too' products that are dated and our competition is having a field day on us. The regen side of the business is good, but every year gets tougher with new products entering the market. Amniotic tissue is a novel product, but even that niche is getting crowded with little to no reimbursement. The Metasurg acquisition was like buying pyro carbon....doubt it will translate into mega sales numbers and put Integra at the top of the food chain where management thinks we should be. But at the end of the day we are mid size company playing in a big boys market. Upper management is turning into an ex-GE party. Wish I could bring all my boys over to be party and pay em top dollar. I'm sure their all hanging out strip clubs throwin down pac-man jones style.

So to answer your question, the ship hasn't sunk yet. But it's like the titanic on its side. It's going down, and I don't want to be that shmuck that hits the rail when I lose my grip. I'm gonna jump ff the ship before I drown. Not a happy ending in this story. Just my opinion though. I think I could make more money as a specialty pharma rep. Work less too. Good luck. With love, Leo. Oh, he dies in the end.
