is this for real, did they really get fired for compliance issues or is this just another one of those firings/layoffs where they don't replace the rep but instead split up their territory with the nearest reps?

We all had a ton of compliance exams to complete by the end of August (I believe). If you did not complete them, it was rumored they were firing people. Don't know anyone that it happened to, but I wouldn't be surprised. It was very controllable to not get fired for that.

People who didn't do compliance modules do not get bonus. They don't get fired. This has been happening all along. With no warning. Your RM gets a report and should be smart enough to let you know. I did hear some people got fired for breaking compliance rules but it was some all very petty and mostly gray area. Maybe why we are having a conference call on Monday? Otherwise they might need to fire the majority of the OBU. Shire is unaware of sampling industry standards.

Witholding a bonus is a punishment for non compliance. They CAN fire you for non compliance especially seeing it has the ability to cost the company a lot of money because of the corporate integrity agreement we are in with the FDA. If they want to fire people/thin the herd, I would guess the easiest people to go after are the ones who are documented out of compliance.

They can pretty much fire you for anything if they really want to.

they can fire you for anything. There are so many compliance violations going on, though and they are not being consistent. They will fire a rep for leaving samples for staff members using Xiidra but not fire reps doing non compliant educational programs. They aren't firing RMs for taking docs out for dinner or directing reps to be non compliant. Xiidra is not approved for surgical use but many are selling it for those patients. ZDs have given some non compliant directions. I know a person was fired for doing PAs. We all know that is wrong, but some of the other offenses I've heard about have never been discussed and are not in any compliance training.

And they are. They have scaled the sales force down. Remember how many reps we started with? Guess how many we have now.
Yeah but they never fired Kathy K for making false comparative claims and bullying Dr.s in face of zero therapeutic area knowledge. Her own reps and managers turned her in LMAO! Instead she got a two-day trip to corporate for "re-training".

As a rep from another company that years ago experienced same pressure from upper management regarding non compliant practices.....be the first to lawyer as whistleblower! You get good $$$ and can sleep at night!

Kathy was promoted and continues to run a tight ship. She should be an example to all employees on how to be a team player.
Kathy was moved out due to the harm she was causing the sales force. No one goes into launch and then gets moved on a couple months later unless there is poor performance. Ahhh, theres your answer. She's pretty quiet now and not leading sales people and definitely not in front of customers. What's her favorite colors for the spreadsheets she's creating?
