So I know this board is intended for sales, but I just have to say that R&D is a steaming hot pile of crap as well, especially my department. The head of my department is alright at what he does but he looks at all of his employees through elitist eyes and is seriously paranoid/delusional.

It's great that FO is running it, as Vickers left a hot mess and a talentless leadership team. Even though Vickers was a suck-up, nothing ever came out of R&D. Maybe now FO can get a taste of how crappy all of his hand-picked "leaders" have been everywhere he's placed them.

The company doesn't care about R&D. It's a cost center to them and it has a horrible reputation since FO arrived. That's why they can't find a real R&D head for Shire. But to be fair, they lost the CFO and couldn't recruit a talent for HR so it's not like R&D is the only place there sucks.

I hear you about GRA. DA is the worst. He has some ass backwards views on how he "measures" employee performance. So smug. He looks down his nose at everyone that works for him.

All that matters now is making numbers. There's nothing in the pipeline and NBU will be sold. I'm glad they are saving the money and lettting FO "manage " R&D. They've been useless for years.
