PRIMAXIN for LYME DISEASE?

Anybody familiar with this use? I've been on doxycycline 200mg bid for 3 months without apparent symptomatic improvement. My doc has mentioned the possible use of Primaxin.

Get to a medical library and do your own investigation on the matter - don't rely on this board for information. You can do a Medlars search that will give you all the necessary info that is needed - to make an informed decision.

Now aware of Primaxin but you might look into Ceftin (cefuroxime). Are you sure you were positive for Lyme or was the doctor treating empirically? Three months is a long time with no resolution of symptoms. I am not aware of anyone getting three months of doxy and definitely not seeing any results. Good luck.
